What happened between SW and SP?

Can it be that we have discovered a migration of Basilers to SW? If so, they got their just desserts.

I went from basil to here. I used to be an avid poster in the bowman section. Then I slowly began to give up hope after seeing/replying to the same thread over and over and over again. Then got banned for saying that we need a modern day holocaust to get rid of all the blacks and gays.

I came here when I slowly realized how big a pomegranatehole Sleepywood became. When old members that I liked got banned, as well as Adura's questionable explanation for the DDOS attack, I knew Adura was an pimento. It also didn't help that somehow he must censor so much that anyone with common sense would realize something is amiss, or why MissPebs (of all people) somehow became a mod.

I wondered why MapleFan45454 (or something like that) made it to mod-ness. It's probably he donated heaps. The day I found out that obnoxious kid turned green, I started saying goodbye to sw.net. Adura actually greeted me with a farewell present by infracting me on a post bashing Nexon. Naturally, everyone found it funny (or funnily painful), but yeah, I bash Nexon, I need to get infracted. I made it one better, replacing sw with sp. Suddenly, the headache went away...

No wonder. This level of intolerance is plain ridiculous. It's not intolerance to what's wrong with the world, that's for sure.

Yes, by the time I signed up extractions had stopped being posted. I didn't have any pals from SP until about a month into my residency here.

I don't even remember how I got here. I was IP banned from SW.net because of bad history with one of the mods (go figure.) At the time I wasn't a member of any other site.

I was from Basil too. I never went to SW, though. I stumbled upon SP 3 months it was founded, created an account, but abandoned it till the beginning of this year. Haven't looked back since

I don't know if you guys are aware, but the SW mods gave up on trying to block out the mention of the word Southperry like they used to before. I think they are far more busy dealing with the new influx of SW posters who essentially have filled their general page with locked and moved topics.

The mods even had to resort to posting "Please don't ask simple game questions here" on their general page. Karma.

It's only bad because you guys hate Basil so much (don't get my wrong...I've been there before and I also raged at some topics, but still). And I don't see the big deal about someone saying don't ask simple game questions when they are probably trying to increase traffic to the appropriate section :/

I don't have a Basil account, and rarely ever look at that website, so I can only go off of rumors I hear, which I have yet to confirm.

However, the main page on SW was really full of locked and moved topics of people who seem to be either spreading rumors or asking incredibly simple questions, that SW deemed it necessary to do that.

All I know is I can say Southperry again on SW without getting an infraction, which was the main reason why I ended up on Southperry (I got banned because this forum existed.)

But..I stayed anyway.

There was this epic troll topic in basil someone made asking which map was the one with the ship to get to victoria island from maple island, that being southperry, which was a banned word. xd

The unfunny trolls are in Sleepywood. I try to make sense of their numerous lolMaplestory threads that tend to involve e-peen flaunting one another. That was the last straw for me.

However, I do admit at least Sleepywood was a decent starting forum before all the good people got banned and before Adura was given control over the forums. I'll keep those memories in mind.

After that, it was a endless wave of trolls, useless topics, redundant questions, etc. With the amount of spam like OMG, what class should i make?!!", the foot has to come down sooner or later.

If I recall correctly his zhelm was illegit, had a hacker get it for him and because he wasn't on the account it was considered legit. Everyone mentioned it got a ban, permanately.

It sickens me to think that the potential you were exerting prior to the release to your site was being shared with such a hypocritical, self rule-making pompous ass.

Pretty sure that was Ruk, who dropped off the face of the Earth (I think).

I left SW because I was perma-banned for an account that was created months prior to mine, which had 0 posts. I would go back occasionally for the Broan section on actual mults afterwards (which were later justifiably banned).

Once, I had asked someone on the team to unban one of my accounts for a few minutes, as my buddy Art had made a topic in the Broan section explaining that he had been arrested. It was mentioned by another friend that we could donate to pay his bail, but I had no way to get in contact with him. I explained the situation and I was refused.

I eventually came to be globally-ignored. Don't get me wrong, though: Sleepywood has and has had some awesome members on their team (Hypermug, DontEatCats, Alysha, and Congee, to name a few), and I don't many hard feelings about what happened. Stuff happens.

I originally joined Southperry because of my good friends Will (Magus) and Cactuar (Ben). I appreciated the fact that donators were treated the same as non-donators, in terms of moderation (not saying that continues on other forums anymore; I wouldn't know). Even though I had quit MapleStory over a year ago, I continue to post here because I enjoy the community.

P.S. I don't hate Basilmarket. There are bound to be unpleasant people on any forum. I just don't go there.

I first heard about SouthPerry from that founding incident. However, I didn't really begin to visit until I heard about the problems Fiel had with Nexon over the extractions at GameFAQs, of all places. What happened to me at SleepyWood in the meantime..? I'd rather not talk about that.

Now I link KMST info from SP over to the AsiaSoft MSEA forum despite not being a MSEAer.

I got banned from SW for having 2 accounts, then found a link on Bl0wjob's blog.

Ah, how I miss SW '05-'06. Good times.
