Or is this more directed towards pros with godly equips, lightning reflexes and flawless internet who don't mind spending 2M/hour on pots? After all, these are level 100 mobby monsters, and arrow rain doesn't seem all that awesome to me so far. I ask because when training my AM, highly recommended training maps often turned out to be either death traps (WS, Kents) or else I'd get a third or quarter of the exp/hour that others claimed to get (Gryphons, Cellions). Well after taking IsaacGS' advice, I went there again and you don't need great equipments. Typhons don't do a lot of damage, so the pots won't be very expensive (I advise using Barbarian Elixirs and Sorceror Elixirs). I guess you can also just kill some more Windraiders until you feel your Arrow Rain is strong enough, but you really don't need to. Now though, I don't know where to train at 100. I don't want to be stuck at Typhons for another 20 levels. :<

Typhons are your best bet, but you can try Time Temple maps, Newts (will be tough without being able to stun), etc. Not a lot of options there.

Once you get like 11 arrow rain, you're ready to go for typhons. You could even go there with level 1 rain if you wanted to, or maybe even with storm break, not sure. Before you max out AR, training there is extremely easy because all you do is sit at that spot and spam arrow rain. Just make sure you're facing left and are pinned to the wall. Typhons should naturally fly into your mob faster than you can kill them. Only when you start killing them decently fast, like about when you're close to maxing out rain, should you need to lure. Once you get to that point though, wind archers are unfortunately somewhat worse than the 3rd job archers due to lack of inferno or blizzard, which applies to crimson guardians as well toward the end of the 3rd job. They drop sacks of mesos, so money isn't really that much of an issue.

Hey I'm now level 44 Wind archer, and dunno where to train.
I've been doing lots of CPQ, but now I want to train on monsters for their drops and mesos etc. But I play EMS and all these Roids/MP3/Windriders dont seem to exist in EMS...as far as I know. The place called CWK also doesnt exist I think... Any suggestions where to train then?

They touch damage at about 590 (not 400 like someone said), so I have to pot after every 2 hits, or roughly every 4 seconds or so. First slip-up or bit of lag and down comes the tombstone. Not sure I would want to train somewhere that requires 900 pots per hour anyway. Can anyone suggest somewhere almost as good exp but not quite so extreme conditions? Or should I just keep knocking windraiders around? Level 80, arrow rain maxed, no zhelm. |
