Agreed. A 1xx to all stats pendant would be...useful, but we really don't need something that strong in the game. It would basically make all other equipment pointless - anyone could run around with a Zhelm, HTP, and weapon and be stronger than anyone currently is. What I WOULD like to see are creative new bosses and equips that do things we haven't seen yet - maybe a weapon that drains HP/MP from the enemy when it hits them, something strong that lowers your base HP/MP/speed/jump in exchange, weapon/magic defense that actually means something, armor with a chance of deflecting damage (similar to PG/ManaReflect), equipment that boosts droprates/exp gain (permanent, maybe not to the degree that the event pendant does), the ability to embue items with "souls" of monsters to add varying effects (once per item, maybe minor things like +1 str, + 3% fire damage, etc).
tldr: There are a lot of ways maple items can improve without being gamebreaking but still being useful.

Or they're busy focusing efforts on getting rid of hackers. If people didn't hack, glitch, harass, etc, they'd be able to focus all their resources on making the game better for everyone. Instead, they have to split their effort, resulting in a game that isn't able to achieve all the things people want from it because people who break the terms of service are busy absorbing effort.

It was new and interesting and it provided a lot of cool opportunities. Unfortunately they changed that to regular skill points, but the possibility still exists, though they would definitely need to balance it (A 10% chance of hitting darkness onto the monster is going to be way more useful on a bow or dagger than on a blunt weapon just due to the way those classes operate).
Point being, we've seen a lot of these things you're talking about are possible, they just really need to start making use of it. Item levels were a nice start but we really need more of that to stop everyone from being a "Pink Adventurer/Face Stomper/Work Glove" kind of guy.

Basically busy with other stuff like I said? f3
Besides, there's always someone breaking the terms of use in any game.
No one can stop that ^ ^ I believe they've done the best they can for now.
But it's funny right? If they stopped focusing on hackers and decided to make the gameplay better, then people complain about hackers. But if they do the opposite, people complain about how they never improve the game. ^ ^
Kinda funny :3

Well, I doubt anyone but me has tested this, but if you buy those shoes that have the weird effect on the bottom, and you fall off the cliff, the damage you take is cut by half. :f6:
I forgot their name though. Lemme find them.
They are the weird glowy ones that come in red and blue.

Two things specifically that I want to see are useful class helmets/gloves. I like the idea of the CWK capes, but they are too rare to really be considered reasonable for the average player. Targa and Scarlion helms are simply Zhelms for higher level. I want to see class armor at 130+ actually be worth having. Whether it be through scrolls that add nice stats but can only be used on high level gear or high base stats, it needs to happen. Give us 10 stat clean level 130 gear, then give us scrolls that add 3 stats on a 60 and 5 on a 10. That's 3 60s to pass a zhelm in a single stat, 6 to pass it in 2. Factor in "other" bonuses, such as maybe making your buffs last an extra 20 seconds, 10% stronger, etc, and you have a worthy armor for a 130. Maybe have glove scrolls follow the same scheme for 130+ items - add 3att for a 60 and 5 on a 10, allowing a 60%'d 130 glove to easily pass most common gloves. Give us class specific capes with class relevant bonuses - STR and Acc for Warriors, HP and LUK for Thieves, etc, that maybe have attack scrolls for them or the like. Give us Earrings for each class that have the same. Make it interesting and fun to reach a new level bracket for pineapple's sake.

Don't have any proof, it was a little while back, when my friend had bought some NX. We had both fallen off the cliff, and he had only taken half the amount of damage as I. We then tried again without the shoes, and we both had the same amount of damage. We tried this at many areas, and all yielded the same results.
I doubt it could be tested without NX.
And plus, I'm not sure if it still applies. It was a while back.

And thanks Isaac, I tried

Same exact spot.
I think I would know if we fell from different heights...

I could live with my flaming katana actually doing some sort of fire based damage instead of just looking pretty..
Personally i'd like to see wearing all equips from a certain level tier provide your char with a boost of some sort.
Say for example a warrior wearing all the reverse equips (helm, overall, gloves, boots, weapon and w/e else I forgot), doing so could add some bonuses like:
+5-10 all stats
100-300 HP/MP
5-10 speed/jump
15-25 accuracy
Maybe even 5-10 more attack.
Maybe some sort of glyph effect behind your char, similar to to glyph when wearing maple set just alter'd to represent the equipment your wearing.
Things like that would probably get alot more people out of the generic Pac/FS/Zhelm mentality and into trying new equips that would actually be worth the effort to find, buy, collect w/e.

I doubt they'll fix the VH glitch simply because of the revenue they'll pull in from rich players hammering their stuffs.
On the stat items:...something like that would be great, but ridiculously hard to implement. =/

It was not fixed. There is a pic on SW of a 20 atk +6 SCG that is not hammered, which is clearly not possible. HeroTex also said he has seen a 27 atk 2 slot BWG and a 60 Luk 2 Slot Sauna...

Someone had a 28 attack glove before all this hammer nonsense. 2 legit hammers = 34 attack? Oyas....

yes, i was rather disappointed when MasPan told me in another thread that those features werent implemented.
One of the things i'd love to see would be diverse "useful" scrolls, something like 10% scrolls to increase the effect of xyz skill, but said scrolls would only work on class specific gear. not only would that make the maker skill all that much more useful, but it'd reduce the "ATK-whoreyness" of gms since people would actually be able to make the choice "do i want Hamstring to get a 20% greater chance to work or do i want more atk?". For balance i would imagine such scrolls need to take up multiple slots, depending on how useful the scroll is.
I would also love to see a scrolls more abundant, but with level tiers in the same way that the maker skill has level tiers. My point being that its wrong that it costs 20m for a knuckle 30% scroll regardless on whether you use it on a king cent (lvl 100) or a prime fist (lvl 40?). at least it gives lower levels an easier chance to expirience scrolling their own gear. Though i do imagine this being a bad idea simply because it would break the market - there is no longer a bunch of scrolls coming off lower levels, meaning that certain scrolls would become excrutiatingly rare...meh.
applying the first concept with the above, lvl tiers would be able to refer to skills for 2nd, 3rd and 4th job scrolls - Id love to see a 5% scroll to increase the damage reduction of PG by 5%, but it'd only work on a lvl 30-70 overall (read: dragon robe / chainmail). at least it brings more reason to vary your gear or sacrifice stat points for other benefits.
