Cygnus Translations via Cygnus Prequests

Looks like Nexon might have messed with some of the names again? In the prequests they referred to Nineheart as Nineheart. Oz is the same. Mihail is Mihile. Irina is Irena. Ickhart is Eckhart. Cygnus referred to herself as the emperor at first. Oh and Shinsoo sounds like Benedict now. Nexon sure is going Latin on us this patch.

Benedict is a name I actually like referring to a guardian spirit of sorts but Shin Soo or however it was spelled seemed to match better with the Cygnus storyline. However, Nexon has yet to update the Cygnus Teaser Site so we'll see.

But the name changes are perfectly normal. For example, "Mihile" and "Mihail" are pronounced exactly the same. So when somebody was unofficially translating them, like Spadow, he saw that the Korean symbols sounded like "mee-heil" and decided to spell it "Mihile," though an official Nexon translator decided to spell it "Mihail." The same can be seen in several famous ruler's names that aren't in a Latin language, like Genghis Khan and several asian rulers.

I don't think Benedict is the dragon. The book says that it's looking out for her above Ereve.

There are no Dragons, they'rea ll swan based. The birds on Ereve, the mounts, the name :Cygnus Knights" (Cygnus = Swan), I wonder why they chose the Swan at all, really.

Cygnus get 6 AP rather than 5 AP if I remember correctly. But I'm assuming they meant that it gives the "parent" character more AP. :/

The parent/child system is eradicated in KMS. I'd expect the same from GMS.

Cygnus chars get 6 AP up to level 70, then 5 AP per level thereafter IIRC.

Didn't maplesea get the old version of cygnus though?

Plus reading the books definatly suggests that we are going to get the Old version, they specifically say that you need a level 20 character to create a cygnus, and that the 2 characters will be linked.

Cygnus Knight sounds okay with me. What I'm tired of is the immature people making "KoC" jokes.

I just prefer the Original names,the jobs and specially the job instructors.
Icarut,Mihile,Irina and Shin Soo or Divine Bird sounds a lot better than Benedict and the other names.
The jobs are the same,Night Walker,Windbreaker,Striker,Flame Wizard and Soul Master are a lot better than Dawn Warrior,Wind Archer,the only one that sounds better is Thunder Breaker,the rest,i would have loved if they keep the default ones.
