The infamous Skele DC.

Wha? o_O
I've trained at skeles since level 135 and am 142 now, and I have never DC'ed in that map. KajitiSouls Wrote:If it is anything similar to the AR DC, just don't jump and you should be fine. (though that is probably wrong xD) AR DC glitch can occur anywhere, it's just way more common in AR as the water allows you to jump up at the right angle to get DC'ed much more easily. I've gotten it in other places occasionally. I'm guessing that in this case it is not related to AR DC at all, as it shouldn't be happening this often to people, and only in that map.

Soloing, I cycle train with Blizzard at Skele top -> bottom mid -> bottom right. I also use Ifrit, CL, ID and IS. I usually d/c after climbing up from the bottom to the top and casting Blizz. I don't know if it might be due to Ifrit hitting mobs as I jump onto the rope.
I trained last 2x with a bottomer and yea I hardly moved due to the high spawn at the top, however I didn't d/c. Also I kept Ifrit summoning to a minimum as I was partially testing if that was the cause of the d/cs. I'm still not absolutely sure what causes it, whether summons or something beyond my control. Other things to note: I use Vista, my internet stays connected even tho I d/c. Also sometimes outside of training I d/c one one account but another one i have open stays logged in.

I've only disconnected once (as a Hero), and I've been training at skeles since minidungeons came out. This was on Sunday.
However, I have a 15x Bowmaster friend that kept disconnecting there on Sunday. No clue why. D:

i did get two d/c too (hero), and is funny cause the first d/c and the second was completely different, on the first i jumped and got hitted by skele bean then d/c, and the next dc on next day, i was just walking and black screen ><
for me is not a big issue atm, since i got those dc (2) in a total of 16 hours + training, but is very strange you got d/c this way without know the cause, and dont seems a job problem cause is affecting everyone. strange huh =[

I have also been disconnected at random at the regular skele map and at the skele mini dungeon. I -think- I was using Blizzard (as in the sniper skill, not the IL archmage one) at the time of the disconnect, but I'm not sure. It's happened more than a few times though, always at the very bottom of the map.
EDIT: As far as I remember, I think it's happened both on XP and Vista.

Oh that's what it was.
I doubt its the lie detector, I DCed yesterday less than 1 minute after entering.... and then proceeded to train for 3 hours without DC

I've been experiencing this problem too. It usually happens after I kill a big mob or after I've been idle for a little bit.

I found that I only ever DCed in the Skelegon mini dungeon when I had a monster card effect going. I also DCed in Florina Beach, coincidentally after I had just picked up a King Clang card. I very, very rarely DC, so perhaps that could be playing a part?

I've had it happen a lot since the patch. Like... a lot a lot. I am almost 100% positive it has to do with spamming mega-attacks and the server raging about it. It only happens to me when me or my husband are using Blizzard/Meteor.

It wasn't the whole party disconnecting. I was duo'ing with a friend, where I was leader. I disconnected and he became leader, then he had to go out and bring me back in, so I doubt it's that. Wow, I thought I was the only one with this problem. If it helps, I circle the skele map using blizzard. At the bottom I would use chain lightning to gather the monsters and make big groups. I would be able to kill the big group with no problem (I 2-hit skeles btw). Usually I would cast blizzard a third time to try to start cleaning up the few skeles that have spawned on the bottom and right after I cast it, I would d/c. It seemed to happen the most during the 36-hour 2x's event they had. I've since stopped mobbing monsters on the bottom and just do what I can with blizzard, even if it wastes a few more pots than usual and I don't d/c as much. I've even went some whole four hour shifts of 2x's without d/cing once.

I wasn't affected, but I was in the skeles mini-dungeon the other day for about 20 minutes with a bishop and marksman from my guild. (First time I've been in there, and likely the last for a while, ha ha... 117 ain't exactly the time to be training on skeles.) The MM disconnected after maybe 10 minutes in there, while the rest of us were fine. He was not visible on my screen when it happened, so I have no idea what he was doing, though I'm sure he had his summon out. Later I heard him complaining in guild chat about more disconnections there; it seems to happen to him a lot, though at random times.
Edit: We're both on Vista, and I don't know about the bishop.

Not Skelies, but I've been dcing in the Newt dungeon too (twice on Sunday, losing 2 8x EXP buffs in the process). Like Sarah said, it might have to do with me spamming the shet out of Meteo. =(

I don't get DC'd, but if my laptop overheats, ONLY at the skele MD, I start losing frames of animation - I'll jump and attack, and lose a frame or 2 between being in the air and the ground. It's like a freezeframe for a half second, then suddenly warping ahead. Once this happens, it affects the entire game wherever there are monsters, and I have to restart my laptop to fix it. My solution? Play with my laptop on my portable ironing board (I usually play on my bed). This helps it cool and has effectively prevented the problem, at least so far.

Each time it has happened to me, was a time when I tried to change channels.

I haven't dced so far, and I was at skeles for a while. I do get the Newtie dc glitch all the time, but that's long been proven. Skeles works fine for me, although occasionally I can't cast skills on the rope and my pots lag (this has killed me, but not dced me)
