Maker - Alchemy Skill FAQ and Walkthrough

*whistles* Holy shit that's a ton of crystals. Like Dusk was saying, I thought I was doing good with a few crystals... I forgot LUK crystals existed so I have zero so far.

is there any site i can find the quest data about the quests that upgrade the maker skill? i like preparing for quests op front so if we happen to get it i can start forging really soon!

First quest to get maker level 1 is just talking to Carson and Hughes, then going back to Stan.
Second Quest just wants a Mid Grade Monster Crystal C. Third Quest is actually kinda hard, you need 6 gold plates, 2 steel, and a complete Lidium. Gold plates probably won't be a problem in GMS though.

oh, and there are also maker training quests every 5 levels, they give really nice EXP if you do them at the earliest.

What are the most used plates, and are all of them used?
(Im wondering which ones to keep)
And just because I am lazy, can I make equips for other classes of strictly for my class?

Have there been any changes or adjustments to this since it came out? I'd be surprised if they got it "right" the first time they released something. lol

they added in a few things like the system that lets you take 10 low grade crystals and make a mid grade, etc, and the whole breaking down items thing. as far as I can remember, no other changes.

How does the breaking down items thing work? Sounds like it'd be more useful than getting chump change from NPCing monster equipment drops.

yeah you can do the same with mid to high. it doesn't work 100% of the time though, but if it fails you only lose one of the original 10 crystals. the breaking down equipment thing is like.. you take an equip, put it in the maker UI, break it and it'll give you monster crystals based on the equipment's level requirement.

Sorry, misunderstood what you were asking.
I've seen no documentation on the "breakdown" process - I wouldn't expect it to give you more than 1/2 what it would've taken to make it though.
