Recommend me some anime
#21
Erich Wrote:Sorry for the...bump, but now I am out of anime, for the most part.

Now I am looking for more comedy.
Have watched Hayate no Gotoku, Rosario + Vampire, Maria+Holic, and thats all that stands out in my head.
Might watch Zero no Tsukaima tonight, but after that, I have nothing more to watch.

I'm guessing that you haven't watched these (all comedies)...

Overall great comedies (must-watch):
 • Kannagi
 • Sayonara, Zetsubo Sensei (all three seasons)
 • Lucky Star
 • Minami-ke (Okawari and Okaeri to an extent as well)

More slapstick:
 • Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan
 • Dai Mahou Touge (Magical Witch Punie-chan)
 • FMP Fumoffu (also FMP, FMP Second Raid) <-- an anime classic

Azumanga Daioh is slice-of-life/school life comedy.
Asu no Yoichi (similar to FMP, with a moderate amount of ecchi) is currently airing.

I really recommend Kannagi, Zetsubo Sensei, and Lucky Star, though.

I agree with this gentleman.

You also might be interested in:
Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun
Honey and Clover
Lucky ☆ Star
Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de

This gentleman knows his anime, you should listen to him. I also think that it is worth mentioning Honey and Clover, it is a seriously good anime, my personal favorite.

Here is a new list of anime I think that you would like:
Ouran High School Host Club
Kannagi
Honey and Clover
Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de
Hyakko
Special A
Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo, aka Sora Kake Girl (it is funnier if you watch Code Geass first).

+1.
I forgot to include that in my post above.
Lelouchbot is funny by himself, really. The breaking of the Lelouch image is more of a one-time deal, so it's not that much of a difference if you watch Code Geass first.
Actually, if you watch Code Geass after Sora Kake Girl, that might be even more funny... heheh.

:[ It isn't that hard to follow so early in the series.

Well since you don't like slice of life, there goes like half my list of anime that I have watched.

Try Ga-Rei -Zero- or Code Geass if you want some action. Air might be worth looking into if you are looking for something deep. Last Exile was really good. Myself;Yourself wasn't bad at all. True Tears was an enjoyable romance. Strike Witches is good if you don't mind pantsless loli's.

One more thing, I'd highly recommend Yuu Yuu Hakusho (aka Yu Yu Hakusho, Poltergeist Report, or Ghost Files). It's one of the more older anime out there that is slightly under-appreciated. Even when dubbed to English translation, the songs and voice actors along with voice actresses did a great job imo.

I've never seen the Japanese version, but the English version was great! The main character changes a lot from beginning to the very end of the story.

I'll second that. I remember watching it on Toonami. Glitter

Don't know if you're into mecha/action or not, but here are some good ones:

Gundam Wing
8th MS Team
Outlaw Star
Gundam 00
Cowboy Bebop

All of the ones listed above except Gundam 00 is finished. I highly, highly recommend Cowboy Bebop.
