GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep
Sn1perJohnE Wrote:from what i hear from other classes, 10% at 110 is at the low end :|, id still like an alternative that speeds things up a bit than just sitting in one place killing stuff and barely lvling over time.

Yeah, I would have to use 2x cards to get 10%/hr 110-120

I guess everybody forgets about WKs though because they're pretty rare.

Then again with 20%/hr leeching for any class, there's no excuse to train slowly except because you refuse to leech yeah?

Everyone is operating under the assumption this is the boss, it may be A boss, but the fact that they said "How many bosses it has" indicates this may just be a sub-boss or something.

The 4 grandmasters are probably the final fight still.

Personally I dont think this is a boss at all, but thats just me.

Yeah, I didn't consider the possibility of this being a boss until after reading a few pages worth of people thinking it's a boss. Doesn't look like a boss to me.

Regardless of whether it is a boss or not, it still looks like it would be interesting to fight.

It'd be nice if they had two main tiers of the Pq. One that catered to the lower leveled people like 70-100 Then another one that catered to the higher level people because they deserve to experience this just as much as the lower leveled population.

Really, I did NOT expect that thing to be THAT huge. That truely is amazing. What I think though, is that won't be in any single room. It could be in the main room that has several expansions in different directions.

But, if the level range is within reasonable reach for me, I'll start to level my Brawler again. But, I always have my 130 NL if need be. I really want to see the PQ though. We all have to gives props on that one picture though, it's really epic.

Did Nexon ever officially state the level range for the quest? (I'm not trying to be sarcastic or offensive; this is a real question)

No, the 120+ was just an assumption that you need a high level character. You'll probably need one anyway because i mean come on, if you're fighting a boss you'd want everyone to help. Even so, there's not many more 100+ pirates instead of just 120+.

This content better be for high levels. Seriously. I'm tired of all the 100 and under garbage. People under 100 have plenty of things to do that high levels can't. The PQ should be 120-200.

Of course I understand everyone wants to be able to enjoy new content...but take a look at how many things continue to be released for people under 100. If this is high level content, then just level up. It's not hard.

I'm sorry, why do they have 4 arms? I don't understand.

1 for each weapon of each job class (? i think)
*note Crimson Guards were made before pirate was released so there wasn't a 5th weapon*

I don't get it either. Because the idol/boss of the keep has 4 arms?

You know, just like there's 4 Versalian versions of the old Crimsonwood Keep's Guilds maybe the Crimson Guardians are the Versalian versions of that statue.

Yep- "built in his likiliness", perhaps?

Now, I've posted this in the other thread, but since the conversation seems to be buzzing here; here's how I've assessed this:

Based on the fact that it's NEVER the same Party Quest the same time and it sheds more light on the storyline, I have a feeling that you don't truly resolve the problem in order to keep with continuity; and it'll only be gradual efforts or a "temporary solution" in the grand scheme of things; and an NPC will say things will hopefully get better the more you keep going or "You've only stopped it for now, but it'll be back someday" kind of thing, but it never truly resolves out; yet you can move on in the plotline after performing some sort of "temporary resolution"/gradual effort done in the PQ. I wonder if there will be tie-in quests as well.

As for why Pirates popped up in Crimsonwood Keep- hadn't they existed around Elin and pre-Elin era even; after all, there was a Pirate representative in the Poison Fog Forest Party Quest; and I'm pretty sure they aren't new and appeared for the first time, they merely vanished and then returned right? As for how Pirates tie to Crimsonwood Keep, let's keep our eyes peeled on iTCG Set 6 or any of these hints over the forums or the PQ itself. What's going to happen with the logo of Crimsonwood Keep as well- will it Pirates get representation- and if so, how would Nexon incorporate the mysterious change in the logo; would it be that it reacted to and detected the re-emergence of Pirates? Ah, so many questions to even establish on how Nexon can do this properly without doing anything contradictory or lacking in proper logic in the flow of the storyline.

I'm already pumped about being able to play through the Party Quest; just thinking about the thrill-ride they've thought up plus the goodies that come with it sound charmingly enticing enough. Pure spawn sounds amazing; hopefully might be weaker than Guardians, range-friendly, and like a good transition away from where I trained in 3rd job and the good spots I don't have access to in 4th Job due to my low HP and lack of TT.

Speaking of rewards, any of you wanna hazard a guess at how it works and what it gives? Some things to consider: will it go Kerning/Ludi PQ style rewards, will it go GPQ/APQ style rewards, a point/tally system kinda like with Ariant Colloseum PQ/Monster Carnival/Magatia PQ, or a choose-a-reward system like Christmas PQ. I'm hoping it might give skill and mastery books as rewards, special equips (possibly either as a rare reward or one you need to work for), and scrolls as some of the possible goodies.

First of all....HOLY PINEAPPLE! This is gonna be epic. Second, i really need to get my char to bish now, and fast. Third, I'm concerned like Cyanne. I hope that something bad doesn't happen after the patch. I REALLY don't want hackers and botters to overrun the pq. I think that before te patch occurs, nexon should finally end this hacker terror and then do the patch, so we can enjoy the content without worrying. I think the weapon thing is a great notice. I'd like to see the level requirements for those weapons ( if they do drop ). And, if it's bigger than HT, do you think it'll have as much or more HP than Pink Been? And how about the exp rate? I just notice that the bigger they are, the more exp they give. I also don't think tht the solo classes will get screwed over. Prose said almost every class. Pally's have elements, so they will get in. Heroes for their raw damage. Shadowers can be of use too. I mean, they have M.E. and smoke screen...Who knows how useful that might be. Corsairs will probably be used for speed. So, I think every class will benefit from this, cause quite frankly, every class has something to offer.

Hackers and botters are generally among the population that cant navigate he phantom forest, dont do quests, and wouldnt be able to solve any puzzles in this PQ.

Generally anyway.
