Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced
...eh, what the hell. I have my doubts that I'm going to get my e-mail in the foreseeable future, so if anyone has a code they don't want, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks :]

Is there any bonus to playing the demo... let's say able to transfer Pokemon over and if so is there any special Pokemon on the demo that is exclusive to it?

I haven't received the code on both of my email accounts, so was just curious if I'm really missing out on anything at all.

Thanks

The rewards that can be transferred are:
  • Mega Steelix - 1 Adventure (Japan only)
  • Mega Glalie - 1 Adventure (Europe, North America, South Korea, Australia)
  • PokéBall Set - 3 Adventures
  • Heal Ball Set - 5 Adventures
  • Heart Scale Set - 10 Adventures

The only thing of worth is Mega Glalie. The Glalie itself is not special at all, but there has been no word on whether the mega stone is exclusive to the demo or not.

If anyone was interested in both versions, here's a thing. http://nintendonews.com/2014/10/pokemon-oras-dual-pack/

If you buy this as opposed to getting them separately, you'll get a different case and uh... 200 potions!

That is actually pretty cool for people like me who like to buy all the versions.

Except it sells for the same price as buying the two seperately, so it's a bit (read:very) pointless.

Seriously though, I don't think I've used 200 potions in total combined over every pokemon game since playing REd way back in the day.

Hoo man, thanks for having my back, Game Freak. Now I can heal my pokemon's health 20 hp at a time all journey long. What a godsend

Not really. I would buy both versions at full price separately no matter what, but now I can do that and get a cool unique packaging as well.

It's a cardboard sleeve around the regular boxes, lol.
America is getting screwed on these "special" covers, everywhere else (or at least europe) is getting steelbook cases. [Image: 10991143-1409212452-416744.jpg]

Now that's a cool package.

I also agree with this, actually this is the only generation I have all 3 versions, so, TRADITION

Ah if that dual pack came here I'd prefer that even if it's the same price

Well in recent games, you're able to use potions consecutively pretty quickly. They're used instantly so you just have to press A a few times quickly and your pokemon is healed in a second or two.

10 Potions as compared to a single Hyper Potion.

Basically, they just gave you 20 hyper potions, but to make it seem EPIC TO THE EXTREME, they inflated the number while using the least effective item.

I mean, yeah that's true, but 20 hyper potions in the early game is not nearly as useful. 200 potions late game is the same as 20 hyper potions, but it's not the same the other way around if you catch my drift. And the point of it is probably to make the early game easier.

At least 200 potions can be spread out as needed to heal your pokemon, as opposed to burning a 200 point heal on a 60 HP pokemon...[/COLOR]
