I checked the calander for a second there, then I expected this to be a romhack, but I'm blown away by how sudden this is. Might be fun, the gen 3 starters are my favourites.

I was quite down about a remake of this last gen but I'm for it now using the XY engine since it will make quite a difference.

This gives me even more reason to actually buy a 3DS now

If you're going to get a 3DS for these remakes, you should definitely get pokémon X&Y as well.
X&Y were pretty much top-tier as far as the entire franchise goes.

I am almost 100% sure the other starters will get their mega forms as long as they're not for some weird reason ditching the mega system(Which i doubt).
Would be so weird to only give blaziken a mega evo and then do gen 3 without giving the other 2 anything.

I'm going for Ruby of course, can't wait to explore Hoenn myself for the first time.

I played Ruby so much when I was younger that I capped out the hours on the cart. I think I can transfer my pogeys though, I moved them over to my copy of White IIRC, I just need to get them to Y -> Omega Ruby

I got home to see Serebii's post about it on Facebook, and I thought it was a joke at first but it isn't. I'm really happy my birthday is in November now Guess I'm gonna pick up pokemon again.

I was an Emerald dude for gen three a bit later than most but it did take me out of my Pokemon hiatus. I'm naturally excited for these and to see what they do with them.

It will, they said it will work for future games too, and they hinted that more games would be coming in different regions.
