Yes, it was proven fake when it came out. Apparently the type translates to Electric/Steel/Dragon with the Ability translating to "Baby Killer", iirc.

For those of you in North America, the demo codes from the Pokémon Trainer Club are starting to be distributed. These e-mails will come to those who opted in before yesterday and should come at some point over the next day or so. If you do not get a code, as we reported yesterday there are numerous other methods in the US to get a code.

Other ways to get a code for the US:

• Codes will be distributed at select cinema locations nationwide from Nov. 7–Nov. 13 (while supplies last).
  
• Check with your local retailer during the holidays to find out about special demo code giveaways (while supplies last).
  
• Get a code with your purchase of the new Pokémon Art Academy game (out Oct. 24) when you buy from Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo 3DS or 2DS system.
  
• You’ll also get a code with your purchase of one of two classic Pokémon games coming to the Virtual Console service on Nintendo eShop: the Pokémon Puzzle Challenge game (out Nov. 6) or the Pokémon Trading Card Game (out Nov. 13). You'll find your free demo code on your eShop receipt (download codes available while supplies last).
  
• Codes will be emailed the week of Oct. 31 to select Nintendo customers with Nintendo Network IDs who have signed up to receive promotional emails from Nintendo.
  
• Codes will also be distributed during the holiday mall tour from Nov. 24-Dec. 21 at 16 different locations throughout the nation. Codes were given out through the trainer club newsletter on Pokemon.com, you had until the 20th to sign up for it, with the newsletter being sent out today.

And yes, as Crowhogan said there was also a facebook page giving out codes.

They aren't earlier than advertised, they said codes in the newsletter would go out on the 21st a week ago. The other code-getting methods were only revealed today.

I signed up for the pokemon trainer club newsletter on the 20th at 1am EST and got a code in my inbox today.
The website sure as hell doesn't help you find the subscribe button for the newsletter though...

Short demo, but the 21st can not come soon enough! (the 21st of November that is)
