And suddenly Nexon NA can go ahead with that canceled company name change.
Block Party seems very prophetic right now.

That wasn't what I was expecting at all it looks more interesting. The art style may not be to everyone's taste but at least going with a stylized look like that should mean it will age better. I like that the game still has platforming elements. I want to see trailers for each class now giving a better look at the combat.

The thing that makes me sad about this is that Nexon is going to be running the game.
I'd like to see more of the combat. Spending half the trailer on Penguin Club/cutesy/run around and play with your preteen chums stuff is not terribly interesting.

It kinda gives me a vibe of a combination of EverPlanet and Dungeon Striker.
I'll definitely check it out. It looks like it will be worth a try at the very least.
Slightly, yeah. It looks like it'll be a little more engaging, though.

I'm not saying it looks bad but I can't see it as a sequel to the original MS. If I see it as a standalone, sure it looks cute and even fun but if I see it as a maple sequel I wouldn't buy it.
of course you wouldnt.. its a prequel.

looks really cute, love the art/style direction it took
My only complaint was that they didn't really show much of the mages

From the technical standpoint it's a sequel.

Holy tap dancing Keith Urban Batman! They reached a level of cutsieness greater than Maple 1!
Gameplay looks better than expected, though.

I have read the same thing on MMOCulture.com. The press release in Korean doesn't mention anything of a worldwide release.
Take that news with a grain of salt.

It'd be pretty weird for it not to eventually come to our shores. I still don't expect it until fall 2015 at the earliest.

It reminds me of Digimon World 2003 for some reason.

Exactly how? the character does kinda move through squares but thats about it.
In an all personal opinion DW3 looks far better than this MS2, and thats an almost 15 years old game.

telephone poles as weapons ftw
And also, yeah. As others have stated, I'm not quite feeling the whole blocky look. It looks neat, but at the same time, I really prefer the older art style to this by quite a large margin. Loved the sheep bit at the end.

Plus the town design with the ladders and stuff really reminded me of the dino mountain area from early in the game, which was all ledges and ladders.
Mostly it was the ladders and stuff, I guess. (Digimon World 3 had some great level designs)
As I said, it reminded me of it "for some reason", I didn't know specifically what.
