It's actually ran by Wizet, and they have majority ownership unlike now in maplestory where Nexon has pretty much full power to do whatever they want .. Wizet is a really good and respectable company and they still do some stuff dealing with maplestory, but they know what their doing and how to start a game up the right way

You should really read the wizet wikipedia page. Focus on who the parent company (i.e., the ones who own wizet) is. We'll wait.

Maybe it's a culture thing. I don't think I've ever seen a girl over 4 stand that way (and I have a teenaged daughter).
Either way, I find that displaying female chars as "fidgeting" and/or "acting like little girls to be cute" is demeaning.
Again, if this is an in-game image and they routinely stand like that instead of the foursquare stance of the male. If it's just promo art like the rest of the stuff in this thread, then whatever.

I don't think there's much too complain about sexualisation though. Maybe I haven't seen enough, but I don't see it there.

Whether that is a "little-girl-being-cute" stance or something else (e.g. a "feminine" stance—not that I'm saying such a stance would be justified) seems a little subjective.

I think it's just the art style. Berserkers will probably use a big 2 handed sword, possibly an Axe as well. The Knight's sword looks like a dagger because of the style, too, but I doubt a Knight would use a dagger.

This is what I am talking about when I was saying I didn't like much the idea of this being a prequel of the current MS. There's just no sense in a class like gunslinger to exist when guns didn't even exist during the first war against the black mage (I base that on that there was no shooter jobs other than archers), leave alone the fact this gunslinger job might use machine guns which are beyond MS's current gun technology.

This is a true issue to this game, not the way female characters stand . Just tell me this is a different timeline, they could even make crossover events if this was it.

I don't understand how that automatically means there was no such thing as gun technology just because there wasn't a class based on guns then..
That also implies there was a lack of technology for.. knuckles as well?

How I interpret it is that this technology already existed, but there was no current hero(s) that had mastered said weapon.

Also, the jobs line up to the different job branches in WonderKing, interestingly, in terms of weapons, at the very least (Nexon acquired the people behind that, didn't they?)

Swordsman -> Warrior (Berserker) or Knight
Mage -> Wizard or Priest
Scout -> Archer (Ranger) or Gunner (Gunslinger)
Thief -> Rogue (Thief) or Ninja (Assassin)
