Looks like the different character classes to me. Ninja > Warrior > Paladin > Mage > Stripper (?)

I'd be a lot more excited about the story if it was placed in the same timeline but in the future.

If its placed hundreds of years in the pasts it only makes the whole thing confusing, if its placed in just a different timeline then there's really nothing to be excited about because we just know nothing about it yet.

They could put it far enough in the future that nobody remembers him. Or not enough to do more than mention the name in passing, with no details as to how that went.

It could just have an entirely different plot, and not be based in the same Maple World. Is there confirmation that it is directly tied to the current MapleStory yet?

Anyways, I think in the last teaser, it's 4 classes + maybe Cygnus? Perhaps she is a main NPC in the game?

AFAIK we only got Henesys, Perion and the empress tied up to the current maplestory and since we know that after the blackmage was sealed a massive scale cover-up begin(I think only Athena and Linin's people knew about it before it became mainstream) IMO they are safe to do it within those 300 years we know nothing about(or really little).

I don't mean that. I know there's similar places, that was confirmed by Nexon themselves. What I'm asking is if the plot will even be the same, if it'll be linked to the MapleStory world (such as same events happening).

Now, myself and the crew that was involved in the early MapleStory years have become pivotal in the development of MapleStory 2. It will take place in an earlier time period than our previous work's world with a new story, thrilling battles, and a feel similar to early MapleStory. You'll find yourself with a fun-filled casual MMORPG.

Also I had no idea it was the old Wizet team that had a huge influence on MS2. Was this announced before? Makes me that much more hyped..

Are you surprised? MapleStory was created by Wizet, so it having a huge influence on MapleStory 2 isn't a surprise for me.

Only '2H' is ambiguous. I believe it is the closed beta release.
In the slide it has been confirmed that the 11th anniversary will be a major update. I can only hope it is 5th job.

im excited for this , but ideally if maple just restarted I'd probably play that lol ,, so with maplestory 2 coming out in 3d it might not be as I planned it , seeing how I dont play 3d games and im used to 2d side scrolling and such ..
