I was on a 143 fishing chain with no shinies before I just said pineapple it and gave up

My clauncher took me near 200. You just have to keep going :x

It took me perhaps 30 for my Horsea (in total, over 3 different attempts) and around 50 for my Clauncher (in one attempt)

It seems to be a realllly good chance of getting these shinies, so you must just be getting unlucky. Having a SUPER HIGH chain (100+) doesn't seem to increase your odds by any large amount, so take a break and do it casually. Horsea showed up after a chain of just 7. Reset your chain if it's annoying you

EDIT: After typing this post I decided to do some chain fishing, since I haven't done it in a while. After a chain of 20 or so, I fish up this:

The 18(?) shinies that I've gotten so far have been anywhere from 3-46, with an average of about 27.
But 143 just ughhhh

You're welcome! I hope you enjoy! I'm not sure about the IVs on that one, so you might wanna check. I had a few in the 20's range (that I bred to eventually get the gliscor I currently have).

I'm going to be breeding a 5iv bold magic guard Reuniclus and adamant intimidate Mawile.

Someone PLEASE stop me if they already have one of these... In this case, I'd like one.

Edit: Should I breed a trickroom Reuniclus or a Calm Mind Reuniclus? I just realized that breeding for a trick room means I only need to breed for 4IVs with a low speed nature.

So I'm kind of lost with this rng lock thing when breeding.

I have 2 magikarps one holding ES and the other with destiny knot.

I reject 1st egg, save, accept 2nd, hatch it, write down the ivs ( male passes hp/spd/spe, female atk/spatk).

I soft reset then switch the parents to 2 sliggoos having 31 ivs at their respective stat, put dk on male and es on female, get egg, hatch it and the only one passing down the ivs is the male.

What am I doing wrong? D:


Edit: I got this, both magikarps and replace parents had ev's and effed up the baby.

I just finished breeding a nice Quagsire for my team; 5 perfect IVs except in speed, Relaxed nature and Unaware with Recover.

I need to breed a few more pokes still but I'm thinking about possibly breeding a Poison Heal Gliscor at some point, hm.
