Pokémon X and Y Playthrough Discussion

Considering a lot of you guys are getting your copies early, I figure we could start a thread for you to discuss in-game/story stuff without inconveniencing the other members who haven't gotten their copies yet.

Also would be useful for other members who just want to know what goes down in the games.

I loved it haha, especially when you were randomly hanging upside down from the ceiling.
The O-Powers are pretty useful, you gave me a healing one right when I needed it before, it was really handy

Anyway, i'm just past the first gym and taking my time exploring everything.

My team consists of:
Frogadier lv 22
Farfetch'd lv 22
Vespiquen lv 21
Charmeleon lv 19

I'm doing the same, literally catching everything new lol. Flabebe is really frail its hard to not ditch it at the back of my 6 and let it level from exp share

I just did a Wonder Trade (essentially a blind trade where you can get anything) and got a Scatterbug from Switzerland! 2 patterns down, lots more to go.

i just had my first wifi battle with some random guy and got wrecked by a snorlax lol

I just met Serebii in-game and gave him an O-Power. :3

I think female ratio for all starters have always been 13:87

It was a very stupid move for me to use Grass Terrain, but then again I wasn't expecting your Gloom to have Mega Drain haha.

What does Grass Terrain do? I feel like it healed me at one point!

I thought that might be the case

Buffs you can cast on yourself or other people, stuff like "Attack lv 1" which increases the attack of your lead pokemon by one stage during your next battle. there are others like prize money, healing, critical ratio ect.

Also, wonder trades are about as one-sided as you'd expect, like 3 out of 5 times I've gotten some pomegranate pokemon available in the first route like a Caterpie (3 or 4 damn times now) or Bidoof. I've offered a Riolu, a Carbink, a Wobuffett, a Wingull, a Vivillion... clearly i'm doing this wrong.
