Pokémon X and Y Playthrough Discussion

On the discussion of shinies, I have had zero luck, and never caught or seen (as far as I am aware) a shiny. I spent a couple hours chain fishing earlier to try and get a shiny anything, and reached a max chain of 97 (and multiple smaller ones) before I finally gave up. Gonna try the Masuda method with my Arcanine to try and get a shiny, as Arcanine's my favorite Pokemon.

I found a Shiny Zubat, but I traded it on GTS for a second Xerneas, which I used to get a Zapdos or Articuno. I forget which. Now to get a replacement Xerneas...

Finally got my oval charm. Just caught Zygard and Mewtwo and didn't even worry about nature or IV. I can always fix that when the third title comes out if I really care enough. I doubt I even use these. Or I could buy a copy of Y. Now same ID, different species will be a lot easier to breed with. Useful since I like my pokemon in certain pokeballs.


Been searching through the GTS for a good male fairy egg group parent. No luck so far. Breeding a Shiny White Flabébé with possible decent IV is going to take some time.

I didn't even see the sparkling animation for this one, I just noticed that it was slightlllly more blue than the normal ones. So I caught it, half expecting it to be a normal one. but nope, shiny!

unfortunately, I had my Synchronize Gardevoir in my party, but completely forgot to have it leading. so this Shiny 31 IV Sp. Att Duosion has a neutral nature instead of Modest. THIS IS A CRUEL WORLD.

Well yeah, I know, but have you seen how faded some of the colours are of the pokemon in this game? Plus I usually have trouble distinguishing between shades of green and blue at first glance.

It might be odd of me to say this, but Amie is such a neat feature. At least for Joltik, it might not be able to high five you, but it looks adorably innocent staring at the cursor.

Went to check [MENTION=3070]Marksman Bryan[/MENTION];'s safari's pokemon. 2nd pokemon I ran into was a shiny magmar. What.
First shiny I've seen in years, and it's a pokemon I hate the look of? Crying now.
