Spamming Petal Dance resulted in 4 "hurt in confusions" in a row, while Gyarados set up Dragon Dance. 5 Dances later and it nearly wiped my team until Yveltal tanked Ice Fang enough to beat it. Good lord Gyarados are on some crack after that many Dances...

haha. I have literally no counter to gyarados on my team except for maybe Mega Charizard X. Only reason i beat the bad guy was because he mega transforms his gyarados and I can sky uppercut the bastard for a super effective hit.

Yup, EXP Share is 100% guarantee you'll overlevel the entire game since instead of only 1 getting experience it's your whole team, constantly, so in some cases you can end up with Pokemon that are overleveled without even USING them (Event Blaziken + EXP Share)

I didn't use it, and never made a point to grind either and I was weaker than all the Elite Four and the Champion when I got there. The Champion would have EASILY swept me if not for me using Toxic on their strongest Pokemon that slowly ate away at it while I revive-stalled. Best experience.

I had it on for all of Y. But for X I'm going to catch one pokemon after each gym and wonder trade it once, then use the resulting pokes as a team. Including the starter. And no exp share. Should be interesting to fight the E4 with 6 caterpillars.

Holy pomagranate, I caught Mewtwo with only two dusk balls while it was at full health. :f6:
Anyways, loving the game alot. Still quite a bit to do post game.

I'm very much loving the game so far =]

But man is Super Training hard to do as a Lefty o.e

I do not have the strength in my right hand to hold the stylus correctly ._.

It's still a really nice feature though =] I'm excited to eventually have a team that's actually good in battles against other players >=3

EDIT: Okay, just tried it again while not lying down this time, and it wasn't that hard lol I'm just a whiny baby~

Gladly, I have a Growlithe available in a friends Friend Safari. Want me to catch you one with any specific IV's? I don't mind.

This question probably been asked to death, but how easy is it to get shinies in this game? I really want a shiny greninga

I don't fully understand IVs nor do I really plan on mass EV training, so any Growlithe would do, thank you.

It's easier imo. Dunno the ratio, but I found 2 shinies in under a week.

Fair enough Tongue
The one I caught has a +Attack nature anyway, should be a good one.

What's your trainer name?

Super Training... you are the best thing for EV training ever. Big Grin

And it's nice to know that the stat cap is now at 252 to ensure that no points go to waste.

Can anyone confirm that using proteins and etc can still give you 100 ev max in a stat if used first? If so, that in combination with super training will be awesome.

Literally like my 5th or 6th battle after hatching that Shiny Pumpkaboo I found a Shiny Poliwhirl Big Grin

I got 2 Shinies in under 30 mins after a 40-chain (which took a couple hours).

I got 0 Shinies in the 50+ hours played including all the horde hunting.

Your best chance to get a shiny Greninja is to use the Masuda rule and find a foreign Greninja to mass breed.

I think it's the same as before. You can only use vitamins if that specific stat isn't over 100 or you've maxed all your EVs already. Each vitamin still adds 10 EVs to a given stat. So starting at 0, you can use 10 for an instant 100 EV. Doing that really does shorten the EV training by almost half.
