It's going to be patch day already? Oh god, my body is ready.

So excite for this.

Unfortunately I have a lab at school in the morning that I'm required to attend and complete, but after that, I'm heading straight home and enjoying the hell out of this highly anticipated update!

EDIT: I apologize greatly after what happened tonight. I have no idea what's even going on with my router, but it's embarrassing and inexcusable for it to go down 4 times within the span of 2 hours.

Being able to walk up 1block slopes is another really convenient game changer, as well as the pickaxe being used for most of the breaking of pomegranate like crystals, any block including wood and chests.

Server will be left up overnight. Did a full computer reboot after the last router fix.
Guess we'll see if the "Many player connection" theory is right or not. I'd be shocked if it was the case, especially after having the old 1.1.2 server be nearly flawless with 4-5 people consistently.

I found a pyramid and a living tree dungeon right next to each other:


I got a Flying Carpet accessory from the pyramid that allows you to fly, and I got a wand from the tree, that... creates trees.

Wow, you got extremely fucking lucky. Red mentioned that those dungeons only have a small chance at spawning upon world creation, and you got fucking both, and right next to each other, no less.

I won't be playing until later this afternoon, but I'm so pumped. I hope these few hours go by fast.

Just read the patch notes. 100 new enemies and 1000 items!? Ok this was worth the wait O-O

Dicked around a bit on Dark Link's server (that's why so many trees are missing, btw) and ropes make things so much easier.

I found an underground jungle pyramid too, but it requires a key to get in! I wonder if I have to defeat a boss to get it.

finding lots of new items so far. Ice Skates which double your speed on ice and stop you from breaking through when you fall on ice. "Blizzard in a bottle" which is like a mix between Cloud in a bottle and rocket boots. very sparkly.

between Shiny Red balloon (increased jump height) blizzard in a bottle, cloud in a bottle AND the flying carpet, I have some really good vertical movement pretty early in.

also found an Ice Sword which is powerful enough as it is, but also shoots out a ranged magic attack at no cost.

floating islands are so pretty! and finding them automatically makes them "habitable" by NPC's.

Also a question: have monsters always dropped armour and stuff? I killed an Eater of Souls and got Ancient Shadow Greaves. also got a Zombie Arm from zombies, which is a club.

And no, no monster ever dropped armor aside from vanity drops from specific sources. Loot tables have been adjusted so you can find more pomegranate from kills to add more spice to gameplay.

Ancient items are the old version of the redesigned armors. They're dropped by every mob of their biomes (IE necro from dungeon, jungle from, well, jungle).

Torches. On. Background. Walls.
