F'uck. Yes. I can hook up with ALL the people now! Would it be more Minecraft-style or something then in terms of multiplayer connecting?

Uh, Terraria multiplayer is similar to how it is with Minecraft. Someone sets up a server, and everyone connects to that server.

Terraria doesn't set up a LAN the way Minecraft does, though (using seeds). That's how I play multiplayer when it comes to just one or two people, and it's pretty much what a VPN is for in that case.

You don't need a separate server client to do multiplayer on Terraria either if it's just with a few people. I would assume that with the new update, you can just connect with your own IP from anywhere instead of depending on a VPN.

I only managed to do multiplayer once with Karen, and for some reason she couldn't connect to MY world. Even then, it required Hamachi. It was a real headache trying to figure out how to make it work, but I gave up. What I'm essentially hoping for is that connecting to others won't be such a hassle.

Multiplayer with Terraria was such a pain in the fucking ass so I'm glad they're trying to improve that.

So much for that "set release date".
Now I'm all for "taking your time", but this is starting to get a little ridiculous now.

This shi't. Really, Terraria fans? I really hope this doesn't cause him to pull the same actions the guy for FEZ did. Inb4 the new patch lacks some content in order to deliver it sooner, or be full of bugs.

I went to a panel at PAX set up by developers (one of them was one of the main developers of Minecraft), and it went into a lot of detail on what developers go through in terms of releasing games.

I had to give them a hug after the panel because they go through so much to make sure the game works the way it should and take a lot of hate from so-called fans who are either far too impatient or are dissatisfied with the games' standings.

The impatient and/or unseasonable fans deserve to be massively trolled. If only there was a way that every time X fan complains about when the game/patch is coming out, their account is banned access from the latest content for an additional week. Then on that, every time someone complains endlessly (and I mean endlessly whiny), their complaint gets warped and affects their game play for the next 3-5 days. Like trolling Hussie style.... but with vidya games.
