Unleashed coming to GMS starting June 19th!
New SP allocation feature + Nexon forcibly resetting SP on all characters due to recent Phantom hack = Not even touching mules' SP's until this feature.

Helping the lazy become lazier. pineapple yeah.

Google's statistics apply to everyone. Statistics explain everything. Mhm.
I'm going to end off here with these links:

You are both right and wrong, but your presentation leaves... much distaste. At the end, it's all about choices and perspectives.

If you're posting random links for the sake of doing it because you have nothing better to say, then please don't waste my time.

Thank you.

EDIT: I'm glad that I didn't go back and re-add all those SP points for my mules. Still missing out on RLH from the reset, but it's not like the exp is that much better at these <120 levels compared to Evo World anyway.

And I just had to assign all of my SP to train my mules while RLH is around ._.

Although I see why they'd want to redesign a bit, why not just consolidate and reuse common resources?

Here's my take, mind the two "menu" buttons as I couldn't think of what to make them.

Goodness, that is like perfect Jared.

I like Waltzing's new design, I hope they end up going with something more like that before the patch is released. A lot of people on the MapleStory Facebook page are complaining about the look of the new UI :X

I'm also wondering about the new resolution. After playing KMS recently I have been really looking forward to it, but if the teaser wasn't in the new resolution it seems unlikely that we'll be getting it...

I've never really minded the UI. I don't think it looks that bad, and being able to put in skill points whenever is great.

It's not bad. I still prefer Waltzing's though. The main flaw in yours is having a huge arrow for a hotkeyable non-disrupting gameplay element. I mean, you can hotkey the cash shop too, but it either takes you there or pop-ups a window. Also, I liked the detail of WWWWWW, to see the longest possible name, and the class with the longest name to see how they fit.

I think the best guidelines should be:
-Make non-disruping game elements tiny buttons
-Keep enough space for hotkeys
-Make the hp and mp bars as narrow and long as possible, so checking for remaining hp is easier and more intuitive
-Try to keep numerical values when possible

For now, Waltzing matches all of those, while yours fails in 1, improves in one (Exp shown), and Waltzing surpases you in one. Exp is not really important to know numerically though, what's important is the % because you don't use potions to refill it accurately. You just want the more the merrier.

And that's my view on this I guess.

EDIT: I'll give it a go for the icon windows too then.

-Avoid empty space.
-If two actions can never overlap, just use the same space for both. Like adding skill points and link skill management.
-Functionality over anything. Keep the add multiple SP at once.
-Balance the weight of the window. If a class has no buffs in a job, he'll just have an empty line in the window. I don't really like that.

Obviously, the guy who thought up that new UI have never used quickslots.
Other than that hideous HP/MP bar, I kinda like it.
I kinda wish MSEA would get this. Without that HP/MP bar. But knowing Asiasoft, that's not gonna be likely.

Problem solved. Biggrin

Yes, please!
I'd rather they use the available resources to correct content and sort out bugs.

I would object. The designs here have become more pleasant than the original but it's still too squished together and MSEA has a million other things it should work on than an UI that doesn't really look better than the previous one.

Good point. Especially when we still don't have RA, tyrant equips, etc.
Not to mention all those hackers.

Decided to do a muck up myself. It's inspired by Waltzing/Arlong's combined efforts. Kept in mind the image of the quickslots @iAmFear; found in CMST's data.

I also made muck ups of the menu buttons, couldn't stand those hideous circular things.

jesus where do you people find time to make these.

The only changes I welcome are the changes made to the stat and inventory windows.
We really need to be able to add our own custom user interface like in Dungeon & Fighter.

Has @Girasol seen this yet? I would be VERY happy if Jared's design was actually implemented. It's actually a step forward from what we have, and is easy on the eyes. No more hideous circular buttons that leave a buttload of empty space.

EDIT: Derp. Can't figure out how to tag people.

Personally, I like the extra quick keys since I have CD skills like Echo, C&N, Sudden Raid, Shadow Viel, & Epic Adv.

I really couldn't care less.

My only question is if bosses drop cubes in Spark. That's all I'm really interested in.
