That's not entirely true, they moved the Maple Point amount over to the left a bit in the Inventory window.

I'd like to think that they at least considered my suggestions, but it's very clear that they weren't willing to change. Looks like there's mixed feelings about the UI on Facebook as well. Sigh.
Too bad they didn't showcase the new equip window, the new stat window, or 800x600 res. (Also 1366x768, but perhaps they haven't finished that yet).

For the quick slots? Yeah you can assign your own just like now.

I'm actually okay with the new UI. The size of the menus isn't really an issue since I'm not going to have them open unless I need to look through them. I'm hoping GMS doesn't have the weapon-dependent damage cap. Ugh and I am not looking forward to the new level cap.

My only issue with this UI is the small size of the HP and MP bars. I personally prefer them to be a bit bigger. Makes it easier to see during bossing.

It's not the menus that bother me, but rather, the size of the HP and MP bars in 800x600.
I think they should reduce the quick slots in 800x600 to 10, or 8 like we have now, and add those to the 1024x768 additional quick slots to allow for longer HP/MP, and more prominent, bars. As it is, they're basically the size of two quick slot keys.
