Dumbassboros isn't too bad once you learn him. The two monsters I just don't like in 3U are Lagiacrus in water and Brachydios. Everyone else is manageable and you can learn how to deal with them with time.

I guess. Hopefully he isn't as bad as Lagi once I learn him. First, I gotta do some other quests, get new gear. I've been wearing Hunter's gear the whole time.

Yeah it definitely helps to have....defense.

Dumbassboros has some adjusting because he's different than most monsters, but he's not cheap and bullcrap like Lagia and Brachy can be.

Yea, I just decided to check the forge option and saw a crapload of armor I can make.

So close to ragequitting. Trying to complete the Ivory Lagiacrus armor set, I have everything except the helmet, and all I'm missing is a SINGLE Lagiacrus Horn+. Now breaking the horns of a HR Lagiacrus gives you a 46% chance to get the Horn+... 46%. I've broken horns on 12 of them, not a single Horn+. You've got to be fucking shitting me. It's not the rarity of a Rathalos Ruby or Brachydios Gem, it's a regularly common drop, yet it just will not give it to me. Sometimes I'll get a NORMAL Horn, not Horn+, and other times I'll get nothing. So ridiculous. If I'm having this much trouble trying to find a single 46% item, I can't wait to hunt for the Brachydios Gem I need.

Words cannot describe just how much I hated that Lagia capture quest. Flooded forest's underwater areas are WAY too tiny, especially when it's a freaking Lagia you're fighting. Died for first time (two times, even; at least I didn't use up the third) so far. :|

At first I was all like oh cool, that spinny thing is hilarious and he acts like a (monster) truck that can't decide on forward or reverse. It wasn't so much his attacks, though, as much as his health. Thing was a bloody tank. *_* Killed him with 15 seconds left on timer. I was pissed because he kept stalling for time - he retreated to area 10, shortly ran away halfway across the map, then BACK TO AREA 10 wtp. Then you have the Melynxes that stole my Map in the last 5 minutes, and I don't have Flooded Forest's layout memorized all too well.

Never again.

Oh and, question! When is the soonest you can face Rathalos? Thought he'd come soon after -ian, but I don't see any village quests for him yet 8/ must upgrade weaponnn.

No seriously. It took me 5 Barroth to get one Fertile Mud back when I needed it. Now the game trolls me by giving me a pomegranateTON every time I do Barroth. Did it for Link yesterday and my ENTIRE REWARD was Fertile Mud. I know it's not real, and I hate saying it, but that desire sensor hates on us. It feels so real sometimes, I swear.

Edit: And now the game is hating on me for Great Baggi Hide+s. 2 and I only have 3...

As soon as you do the Unknown Mask thing, I believe. One of the Villager Requests will unlock several of the last monsters for Low Rank, including Los. Los is much harder than Rathian, because he's an pimento with flying.

My battle Dumbassboros is surprisingly going easier than I thought. I just managed to stay under him while he charges his tail. He moved as if he was limping but realized that it may be how he walks. If I keep my intuition up, then I might have a chance, maybe that's why he's called Dumbassboros.

Also, is that moron Kayamba supposed to get himself killed by that thing? Cha-Cha wasn't that dense when I saved him!

General rule of thumb with Rathalos: Flash Bombs. Always carry flashbombs.

I'm hearing the sales for 3U are decent, although I haven't seen any numbers yet.
Provided it sold well enough, we'll probably see the same thing happen to it that happened here. Eventually there will be an HD version in Japan, and when that happens we'll get it ported to the US with both versions at once.

We haven't gotten a Monster Hunter game earlier than a year after the JP release yet, so don't expect anything before 2014.

Not just Fango's, ALL the monsters that charge you. So fucking annoying. This actually reminds me of a particularly rageworthy story--was fighting Sand Barioth, got him to the point where he was limping away, but still fighting back slightly. He landed a lucky hipcheck on me, bringing me down to about 1 HP, unfortunately the hipcheck attack also stunned me, he continued to limp away so I thought everything was okay, despite how close that was when out of no where a Rheno just charges right across my screen and runs into me, killing me. I was so mad.
