The Official Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Topic

My copy of the game should be arriving in two days or so. Played through the demo with my brand new perfume-smelling 3DS, and omg the 3D can be disorienting at times, but most of the time looks so prettyful asdfkljdsfk

And yeah, the camera was extremely annoying. Not too bad for the two demo quests, but definitely don't want to take on anything relatively difficult without the Circle Pad thing. <_<

The 3D on the 3DS in general is pretty disorienting, especially in the beginning when you first get the console. I also dislike that you have to hold the console PERFECTLY otherwise you get a mirroring screen effect. There's nothing Nintendo or we can really do about it, that's just how it works, so I'm not complaining, it's just hard to get used to. Games like MH I tend to turn the 3D off or on Low because of this.

I don't think you are required to fight nibelsnarf at ALL for the village quest

Damn man, just fought Zinogre for the first time. His super saiyan mode is truly terrifying. It was an intense and stressful fight; he killed me twice and kept nearly killing me in one hit (in his super charged mode his attacks do like 60-70% of your entire health bar, it's unnerving). Was so relieved when he fell over dead. I had intended to just capture him to keep the fight shorter and lower my chances of getting killed stupidly in battle, but he NEVER showed any signs of weakness. No limping, nothing, so maybe you were just required to kill him in the urgent quest. Dunno.

Since then, I've been farming Timeworm Charms in the HR Volcano Tour, still haven't got anything really useful to my playstyle or weapon choice. Is it so hard to give me a charm that gives ATK Up, Elemental ATK Up, Evade, Razor Sharp or Handicraft? On the upside, though, I did get a Rustshard that turned out to be the fossilized Dual Swords, so that's cool I guess.

He's not required but he's also practically the only monster to give Paralyze weapons and anything that's Paralyze that isn't directly related to him still needs his parts like crazy.

Speaking of Paralyze, Capcom really loves pineappleing it in the ass since Tri... Almost all, if not all, paralyze weapons are utter crap in sharpness or shot types. Their damage is pretty low at end game too.

Man, Brachy is a monster in his rage mode. Fight took me 42 minutes since I'm still using a LR GS, but 1-2 more fights with him should grant me his base GS.

So, I'm back from Panama City and I got my Wii U. I was looking for MH3U for 5 days and in the last one I decided to spent my last 200$ in some clothes and stuff (That i didn't really need) and just when I'm in the airport, 1 hour before leaving, I found MH3U for 70$ and I had only 5$ left, I asked my aunt for money and her credit card was blocked...

So, yeah I'll have to wait 1 more week to play it, well at least I got my Wii U and I really love Zelda and Metroid attractions from Nintendo Land. Add me in Miiverse my IGN is Chicocl.

So I've realized that I hate Brachydios.

At first he seemed pretty fun, but that slowly turned into not fun. He's kind of like Lagiacrus is for me, except instead of the difference between easy and hard being water it's rage. When he's in rage he's just ridiculous. I'm not even sure how you're supposed to dodge some of those attacks when you're not doing EXACTLY what you need to be the second he starts his attack. The worst is when he does that leap with both arms in rage. If I'm not moving to the left or right the second that starts I can't dodge it at all. Sometimes even if I am. I've tried perfect dodging it, dodging early, dodging twice (not enough time for this one)...everything I can think of. If he directly targets me he almost always hits me with it. His range is ridiculous. It's kind of stupid.

I still beat him, but I need two Mystery Slime and the game gave me none...

I think Capcom wanted to troll Bow users with him too...his bow needs three tails. What the heck? I probably wouldn't use it anyway because it's scatter but that's not the point.

I got better with him last night cause I needed Mystery Slime and I got enough materials to make his Duals. Cha-Cha carved a Gem too...so now I have 2 in 2 runs >_>.
I still can't dodge that leap smash at all when he's in rage, otherwise I'm relatively untouched by him. I just don't understand how that attack is supposed to be dodgeable at all.

Dumbassboros isn't too bad once you learn him. The two monsters I just don't like in 3U are Lagiacrus in water and Brachydios. Everyone else is manageable and you can learn how to deal with them with time.
