Can someone please explain to me how this table thing works or link me to a guide about it?. I played MH3 but I played it more casual than anything (almost 200hours but mostly offline because my cousin used the internet 90% of the time...
I understand that it's for a set of charms and that it's mostly decided by the type of weapon you use. I like all type of lances and Long swords if that helps.
I'll get my game in 2 weeks, I need to go to Panama City in 5 days, If I see the game there, I'll buy it. If not I'll have to wait 2 weeks until it appears here in Venezuela (unless it's banned by the violence game law that banned MH3...)

It's not decided on what weapons you use. It's one of seventeen tables, each with their own specific set of Charms, that is decided by RNG as soon as you press the New Game button.

I know but what I'm wondering is that if I need (or is highly recommendable) to get an specific set.

If you don't plan on going the jack of all trades route and using every weapon, then it's very much preferable to get a specific table.

I posted it earlier but: http://forums.minegarde.com/topic/6766-a...hunter-3u/
Download that, run it, and there's an FAQ menu option that has information for everything you want to know about it, how to determine which you're on, and how to get the one you want.

Thanks, I didn't see it. So, pretty much I'll have to go with any table that has Handicraft because I don't use any type of gun/bow, etc. I mostly use lances, LS(Offline only) and GS, I liked Dual Swords in the demo but I'm not sure about them.
Looking in the table the highest option for handicraft is the number 6 with the +4 one with 3 slots that could give me a total of 8, but it looks horrible hard to get but if we consider the +5 ones with 2 slots with a possible +7 then 6 is the best, So I think I'll get the T6 also in other aspects it isn't as screwed as others. Also that +5 Debilitate, +10 attack exclusive charm in T6.
Sorry for being so annoying, the problem is that when I played MH3 I only played for like 1 hour max 4 days a week, and more in a casual way, because my little cousin always screwed me up when using internet to watch 1080p videos and movies or hiding away my MH3 copy... but now that I'm going to live with my brother and with a 10mb internet connection I think I can start playing this game more seriously (finally being able to play online without problems ).

My disappointment when I saw that Barroth armor doesn't give Potential anymore...Was going to make it for a bow armor too...

You're not being annoying at all really. I honestly just want to help everyone here be good hunters, because I've played with randoms, and it usually turns out very badly. I want people here to be people I want to play with, so I'm trying to give all the tips I can.
T10 is apparently the best "overall Blademaster" one, but I don't really know why. That's just what I had heard from my friend while we discussed this topic. I would just say go with whatever you think is the best. In the end, you're going to be missing out on some stuff anyway. As long as you don't get a cursed table you should be fine. I hate the entire system, but at this point I'm just going with the flow because I'm happy to be playing MH again. If I miss some "godtier" sets, then so be it. I never exactly made traditional sets anyway and always went and made some crazy mixed crap.
I just hope that some of the new skills aren't exclusive to random single sets, like Archer (All Shot types up in one skill) and Fury (AUL + Potential+2). I doubt I'll ever get both of them in one set because this isn't frontier, but wouldn't that be awesome? I'm waiting to get to the higher ranks to even look at combining sets right now. It's far too early to start worrying about that kind of stuff in my opinion.
For Charm Tables, I just went with one that seemed to be decent for the weapon types I was going to use (Duals, Hammer, and Bow). If it's not the best, oh well. It's not worth stressing over the stupid system.

I wasn't much of a fan of Longswords in the demo. The one I liked the most was Sword + Shield, which I usually go with in nearly every game. I'm kind of getting frustrated with the durability of my weapon, though, so I might switch to something else. I'm considering trying Bows again. They seem like a useful tool against some of these guys.
Anywho, here ya go :

If anyone would like the BradyGames guide, I do have a copy of it on my computer that I can upload.
Additionally, Barroth needs to give me more Fertile Mud and Monster Bone L or else I'm gonna have to start cracking some heads e_e

I'll have to do it tonight when everyone's gone to bed, though. Otherwise I'll have two other people yelling at me about slow internet speeds.

If it's anything like Tri and P3rd, most Fertile Mud comes from shinies from breaking off his mud. When I was making Barroth armor back in Tri it took me forever because I don't gather during fights unless I KNOW I need whatever it was and it can disappear.

Finished all the offline Low Rank quests yesterday and have started High Rank ones. Also got to High Rank online with my buddy. Most of the LR quests gave me little to no trouble, however, I can be the first to admit, I struggled a little against Duramboros (one of the new Brute Wyverns). Overall he isn't as aggressive as other Brute Wyverns, but by god, he has so much pineappleing HP. Took me 45 of the 50 minutes to kill him and I ended up dying once because he threw himself up into the air and came right back down on top of me unexpectedly, taking away like 1/3 of my health bar. The amount of time it took to kill him was a little frustrating, cause I just kept begging, "WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE?!" constantly, but overall it was refreshing to actually have a challenging fight finally.
I'm still rockin a combination of Alloy+Jaggi armor, so I'm taking a ton of damage in the HR quests when I get hit, probably should work on upgrading... I tend to focus on just upgrading my weapons, which is just habit. I plan to do a combination of Volvidon+Rathalos to get Attack (L) and Evasion +1 (I am using Dual Swords currently).
Also just throwing my info up, too...

I absolutely fu'cking hate everything about Lagiacrus. He's pathetically easy on land, but then ridiculously bullsh'it in water. I just did the urgent to kill him, and half the fight was hits from dives where he didn't even come close to me. Quite a few times he hit me when he was half his length (long-ways) away from me. I hated him in Tri, and it's no different here. He's not a fun monster in my opinion.
Water combat in general isn't fun in my opinion. I wish they left it out like they did in P3rd. I feel like everything you fight in water is ridiculously faster and more powerful underwater while you get weaker, slower, and clunkier controls. I'm not looking forward to the new final boss at all.

Duramboros is a little weird to fight the first time, I agree...but once you realize you're actually safe CLOSE to him in many situations as opposed to most monsters, he ends up being really easy. His HP wasn't too bad in P3rd but I dunno what they did to him here either.
I tend to do the same thing with armor myself...but mostly because none of the armor sets I run into have anything appealing in terms of skills. I still haven't touched Bow, despite it being my favorite weapon type, because all the gunner armors just make me cringe.

What's the address for the JP one?
Also, SuperNerd; that urgent Duramboros definitely has an excessive amount of health. Took me 32 minutes to do him myself...My friend said it's ONLY that one though, and the rest are fine. Makes me think they gave it High Rank's HP accidentally. Its armor was awful though so I have no reason to find out unless I want to finish every quest.
