I dunno, I quit after I noticed that he's exactly the same underwater as he always has been minus the hip check. Was not in the mood to deal with him and not be rewarded for it.

9/10? That makes my curiosity perk up as FE awakening got the same score. Time to research if it's in my taste. I saw the demo with the giant...bear..bunny, and it didn't seem that appeasing to me

It's a giant bunny that slides around in a triangle formation and throws ice at you.

He's actually quite entertaining, but insanely easy.

The demo really doesn't do the game any justice, in my opinion. They picked the worst two monsters. Said Bunny is too easy and predictable, and Plesioth is just retarded and boring.

Not saying I have any merrit on the game at all but my impression of it was really, lackluster in terms of the combat. What stood out to me was the duel wielder just kind of hack slashing, and I didn't really see anything that made me think it was worth getting.

Again that's only my impression and I'm going to look deeper into it

Did you watch it or play it?

When you first get into the series, watching it and playing it are two completely different experiences, in my opinion. It seems pretty simple/mundane/boring but it's not.

I would definitely recommend at least trying the demo with several different weapons. If you don't like it I understand completely, Monster Hunter is definitely not for everyone, but it definitely deserves a try.

So what tables are you fellas leaning towards? Table 10 looks like it'll be the one for me, if I'm right about the best GS and HBG skills.

My game has shipped from Amazon just now. I should be getting this tomorrow morning, hopefully I can play before work.

Mine's status never updated....I questioned it vocally to a friend who told me that it does that sometimes, so as long as I get the game tomorrow I won't mind. It still has a delivery status of tomorrow, so I have to trust Amazon...they never usually let me down so I think it will be fine.

The real problem is that Amazon uses UPS, and the UPS guy here is never here until 4-5PM, and to top it off he leaves everything infront of our garage because he's too lazy to walk 20 feet to the porch. We've lost items because he freaking puts them right infront of where tires go.

So what you have to do is:
Decide what table you want.
Set your system time to about 5-10 minutes (whatever you feel comfortable with) prior to the time reported for the table you want on the date that is specified (1/21 I believe it is).
Watch the clock like a hawk
The second it hits within the timeframe, which is only about 3 seconds long, for your table, you press New Game.

The second you press New Game, the table is supposedly set, and it doesn't matter what you do from then on.

I'm considering waiting after work for 10AM(I work midnight to 9am), so that I can go into a GameStop and buy the game, then "return" my copy from Amazon to GameStop for a refund. I don't like GameStop anymore, but if I can use them to get the game early without worrying about UPS and essentially spend no money on them...I'm for it.

After some deliberation (Re: Asked 4chan to do some math for me), I've changed to table 6. Best table for GS, and I should be able to survive with the bare minimum in HBG/Hammer equips.

Also, you can set the time to about a minute before the window without any repercussions. Get a stopwatch and hope for the best.
