Polantaris Wrote:To my knowledge Amatsu is not in 3U. Amatsu is the P3rd exclusive final boss. 3U gets Guran-Mirasou or whatever its name is.

Oh no, I meant that Amatsu wasn't in this game. I didn't know if I wanted to spoil monsters newbies haven't seen, so I went with a vid of one they'd probably never fight.

I get what you meant now that I read it again, but the way you worded it it looked like you were saying, "Here's one of the monsters that are in 3U."

I read it like this:
Quote:Its a nice little peek into what 3U will have in it.

This is one of them monsters.

So to pass the time what is your favorite monster, guys? mine has to be Brachydios, there is something about an explosive-punching monster that screams "gentleman's monster"

Akura Jebia. I never made a video of him myself...I don't remember why. Either way, this is a decent one I could find. Akura Jebia is actually a variant of Akura Vashimu....who is also awesome to fight. I made a video of him, but it's long and my group didn't do too well against him. I wasn't going to redo it so I posted it as it was.

makes me wish there was a Carapaceon-like elder dragon, Carapaceons have been getting ignored recently.
But nice video,I was wondering what was that weird noise until I realized it was your hunting horn.

Yeah...cause they were removed in Tri and never re-added. Hoping they're coming back in MH4 along with the monkeys. Although I don't miss Shogun in the least, that sweep attack... Hermy is missed...cept for the minions. They're as bad as Bullfangos sometimes.

That was another problem I had with Tri. They removed so much monster variety. Don't get it at all.

I think my favorite monster is the Lagiacrus, I like hunting him. A second place would be the Rathalos. The one I hate the most: The Barioth.

My favorite has to be Rajang. Why? Make him rage and you'll see why. Biggrin
I have only played MHFU, so I don't really know much about the monsters in the other games.

I miss Shogun and Daimyo Sad

Rajang was also fun, but it was so easy to dodge. I mean all you had to do in the G rank hunts was roll under it to dodge its attacks because those Rajang were all pineappleing gigantic.

All I think of when I think about Rajang is the hardcore version they introduced in Frontier. It's not fun. At all.

Any group I ever had against him that was not with 3 Gunners and an HH was a failure. There's a reason the guy recording barely goes near it.

Edit:
So you guys might want to put more research into the Charm Tables that I thought before.

Apparently there are "Cursed" tables, where you have a horrible selection of charms and other items like ruststones are either non existent or so rare it's not even funny. Apparently the tables themselves are rare, but I don't think any one of us wants to get stuck with one.
http://forums.minegarde.com/topic/6766-a...hunter-3u/

A way to determine what table you might want to shoot for, also with ways to do it.
I hope this is the first and only game with this type of table system, because it's causing far too much frustration in a game that's normally a blast to play, and it hasn't even been released yet. I feel bad for all the JP players that went in not knowing this information.

Welp. Excluding Gran Miraos, we now know all of the monster names.

Poor GSers, only 56 in the entire game.

Vontos, that was amusing. Nice.

should have been named Fabulous Ludroth

The worst part is that "Poison Ludroth" isn't so bad...and they didn't go with it.

Green Narga is bad too.

I almost wish they kept the generic naming convention that the quests use in JP games. In the detailed descriptions they have more elegant names, but in quest info and stuff it's just: [Monster Name] Subspecies/Rare Subspecies.

Almost better considering some of the names they've dreamed up. Although it won't solve Dumbassboros...I mean Duramboros. I still read "Dumbassboros" everytime I see it.
