Pirate Training Thread v2
#21
Hm, I timed some of my levelling speeds at level 65 and they haven't significantly changed since. All times were derived by using a Warrior Elixir at a recorded % and recording how much exp was gained in 8 minutes. H/Voodoos were roughly 3.2% every 8 minutes, and Windraiders were roughly 3.5% every 8 minutes. By %/hr, this translates to 24%/hr at H/Voodoos at level 65 and a little over 26%/hr at Windraiders at level 65. Windraiders have stayed at about 26%/hr at level 71, while H/Voodoos have dropped a little.

Which Windraiders map is the best? I'll take out the other one if that's the case.

No doubt lower ascent, as long as you have the HP for it. The mobs are the biggest for most training spots, and the exp:HP ratio is one of the best in the game.

And for those jumpquestually challenged? Are Windraiders still an option?

yes it is hard to get there lol, on my outlaw I have to search nlc or the fm for a dk to hb me, and even then I cut it close on getting there before the time runs out.

Er, I make it to the jump quest every time I want to train at Windraiders. That's about 15-20 times already. It's not hard at all. Stun the Elder Wraiths with Blank Shot, and recoil into/over everything else. Spam Ice Creams as necessary.

The jump quest is ridiculously easy o__o It's not even a jump quest, there's like 20 jumps you have to make.

The thing I hate most about the jump quest is then I am making the last few jumps on the first map and I some how die from being like a pixel too close to the pillar.

Really, if you start moving right when the pillar is moving, and don't stop or miss any jumps, it never even gets close to you. If you miss a jump, immediately run back or log off.

Well it has happened to me like twice and the pillar somehow kills me and I never miss a jump in that last stretch of platforms. ;_; B> 53k HP @@@@.

Another good non-cpq training spot:

The map stumpy spawns on (45%-60% per hour on 3x Gunslinger ) ... Decent drop rate of ancient sap too... got 8 in one hour

If someone has the time, can they check this area for notes to add, please?

three stars.

The exp is ok, but the sniping spots for invisible shot lose their advantage because of the octobunnies' long range ink attack. much better for brawlers, a brawler should try this spot

Maybe I'm just anal, but any chance you could organize it into level range? Like... have each job in a spoiler, then each level range in a spoiler in that spoiler. D;
I keep reading down the list from my level range into the next one. </3

Kso, I'm a level 78 Marauder, and I SERIOUSLY need help training. All the suggestions you guys put for 70-80 fail hard, seriously, and Windraiders are starting to lose their touch. Any suggestions?

I read somewhere that Infighter training hits a wall in third job... might be part of it? :/

Now that the minidungeon event is done, the normal minidungeons are downright fantastic. I went to lvl20 on a slinger at the pig one, from 20-26 at the ant tunnel one, and I only spent a little time at the drumming bunny dungeon today (lvl34) but damn. All very good. Shame I didn't take precise measurements, but I highly recommend all three for gunslinger, and ant tunnel/bunnies for brawler from pretty much lvl10-3x.
5 stars for pig dungeon for slingers
Maybe 3 for the zombie shroom one just because of some annoyances. Bottom can get tricky. I had to resort to SK frequently to thin the mob.
5 stars for drumming bunnies. I think they've got the best drops for their level as well. Red whips, pan lids, and DC ore.

Edit: 20att hat might skew those level ranges in the future.

It's about the same as a CB that doesn't know how to Goby.

You're going to have to grind it out until you're strong enough to kill Duals easily.
