I noticed there isn't a proper, well documented training guide for both Pirates, sure in the guides there's brief mentions of monsters, but they aren't good enough for someone who needs to know where, how, why and with whom, to train.
At the moment, I only have a level 31 Gunslinger/26 Brawler, so my knowledge of higher training grounds is extremely low, so I will need every Pirate to contribute to this guide.

![[Image: MS_Monster_Evil_Eye.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/8/89/MS_Monster_Evil_Eye.png)
Evil Eye ***
Cave of Evil Eye I/II/III/IV
Notes: Recommended for Brawlers for their very good spawn, meaning lots of mobs. But Gunslingers can train here to, but with no mob attack until 2nd job, slower killings. Easy to navigate maps. However, the spawn of Jr. Boogies down the rating by 2 *'s because they are very annoying, with their high avoidability and their status effects, meaning neither job can kill them effectively.

No point in going into too much detail here. Train at Maple Island from 1-10, doing all the quests (they will level you up a lot, and give you some potions). Just train where you level fastest (lol), if you're pre-Gunslinger, you're stuck with Blue Snails, but pre-Brawlers will be able to take on Mushrooms

Numerous Monsters
Henesys Hunting Ground I*****
I've done this map in a different layout, due to all the monsters that reside here, I would use up a lot of valuable picture space. Anyways... Good ol' HHG1. Can be trained at from level 5+, but the best bet is to stay at Maple Island until 10. Start at the bottom level (Blue Snails/Red Snails/Shrooms) until you can kill the Slimes easily. Then, move up to the next floor, where Slimes reside. This floor is usually highly populated, so you probably will have to fight to save your place (unless you play in the early hours of PST). The Mushroom floor is not as good as the Slime floor, so you could just skip it and head over to the Green Mushroom level when you can kill them effectively, which is usually even more populated than the Slime floor. All in all, Henesys Hunting Ground 1 is the best place to level from level 10-20, for both Pirates
![[Image: MS_Monster_Slime.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/8/83/MS_Monster_Slime.png)
I will refer to this, as most Maplers will, as the Slime Tree, due to simplicity. This map is good for Gunslingers, but great for Brawlers, for the close spawn, leading to big mobs. Both types of Pirates can train here well, but Brawlers benefit from here more than Gunslingers. Easy to train here, start at the top (where you will most probably enter), work your way down, killing everything you see, once you hit the bottom, kill the mob, and work your way up again. That will only work in an empty server, with little people in it, meaning in most servers, you will have to share, which doesn't cut back your EXP (in some cases it improves it), and it's easier because of the less space to travel. Popularity lowers this rating by * because in some cases you will have to fight for your place here.
![[Image: MS_Monster_Pig.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/1/1e/MS_Monster_Pig.png)
![[Image: MS_Monster_Ribbon_Pig.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/b/bf/MS_Monster_Ribbon_Pig.png)

You can start training here whenever you feel you can survive for long periods of time, whilst still killing them quite fast, which will be around level 15. First of all, The Pig Beach, the harder of the three to reach, but with the better spawn. However, The Pig Beach has a spawning of an Iron Hog, which you wont be able to kill properly until level 25+, if you have the patience, time, and potions. The Rain-Forest East of Henesys is the easiest to reach, but it has annoying 'steps' which will stop bullets, but the rest of the map is fine. The Mini Dungeon, which is accessed from Rain-Forest East of Henesys, is the best for solo training, because only you can enter the map at one time, leading to no-one KSing you. However, at the moment, in Global MapleStory, the Event Mini Dungeon is underway, meaning you can only enter once a day for free, and only 5 more times with NX.
![[Image: MS_Monster_Octopus.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/1/10/MS_Monster_Octopus.png)
![[Image: MS_Monster_Blue_Mushroom.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/7/7c/MS_Monster_Blue_Mushroom.png)

Best to head to here when you can kill Octopi in under 4 shots/hits, so you aren't spending forever on one monster, in addition to that, you will need to hit Blue Mushroom at least 50% of the time, otherwise the spawn will slow down if you don't kill these. If you're going to solo the whole map (good luck with that. These are extremely popular, knocking off one *) you're best off as a Brawler because mobs will build up when you're killing one of the platforms. However, if you plan to split or share (party) the map, you're best off as a Gunslinger because the mobs wont build up as much.

You may think 'OMG ARAINT IS LONG AWAY' but, it's not, if you do the Manji and the Secret Group quest, Manji will take you to Ariant 5 times, between the levels 18 and 29, and Karcasa will take you back for 10k. Well, Jr Cactus are really good EXP, but for not long. They will satisfy you from 20-24, but there are other places. To train here as a Gunslinger, you only have to move a little to shoot them. As a Brawler, you have to move back and forth across the map, but the EXP gain is the same for both. This map isn't really popular, so you're free to train with little interruptions, and the people who do train here, change channels when they see you, so I advise you to do the same.

pineappleing godly EXP, from levels 24-30. Hardly anyone trains here (I trained quite happily here during x2 EXP with no serious interruptions). Same training style with Jr Cactus, just a couple more hits. Might want to stock up on potions/return scrolls to allow for easier repots.

Early 3x. Basically stronger Zombie Mushrooms without the Horny Mushrooms running around. The spawn is EXCELLENT if you circle the map properly, and there's usually no one around. Gunslingers fair better here than Brawlers because of their long range, though.
![[Image: MS_Monster_Ratz.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/5/54/MS_Monster_Ratz.png)
Because of the godly mobs and SSK, you can easily get a ton of EXP here, fast. Mob mob mob, don't single attack I went from 35-40 there, and I bet if you had good eq's you could start early 3x's.
Levels 40-50
![[Image: MS_Monster_Nightmare.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/9/96/MS_Monster_Nightmare.png)
Very good exp:hp ratio, and once you get a rhythm the spawn is pretty good too - use backspin to create a mob and then SSK them, or just use flash fist if there's only one or two, I went level 40-44ish there.

![[Image: MS_Monster_Slimy.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/9/95/MS_Monster_Slimy.png)
Mid 40's ~ Mid to late 50's. The bottom is VERY good for Gunslingers who have the invisable shot skill. All you have to do is stand on the hummer and attack. In my own personal experience, having a brawler on the two top platforms and a gunslinger taking care of the bottom spawn is great. Kind of a potion burner for lower leveled Brawlers, but worth the experience. Great if there are two or more people to keep the spawn up, constantly.
Levels 50-60
![[Image: MS_Monster_Training_Straw_Doll.gif]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/6/65/MS_Monster_Training_Straw_Doll.gif)
Mid 50's ~ mid 60's. This is great for brawlers that have backspin blow, and corkscrew blow. You can easily clear a mob with a corkscrew blow + sommersault kick combo.
Levels 60-70
![[Image: MS_Monster_Hoodoo.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/3/34/MS_Monster_Hoodoo.png)
Mid 60's ~ Mid 70's. Again, another great place for Brawlers with corkscrew blow and backspin blow. Once you get the hang of where the mobs spawn, you can easily mob three of the four hoodoos/voodoods with corkscrew blow. This place is only a *** on my list, because of the amount of people that train on these maps, and the fact that the drops aren't all that great.

![[Image: MS_Monster_Buffoon.png]](http://media.strategywiki.org/images/c/ca/MS_Monster_Buffoon.png)
Late 70's ~ Mid to late 80's. This map is big, but I found it pretty efficient to go around the map clockwise, or counter-clockwise. You could also find someone to split the map with. The drops aren't all that great, but the experience isn't that bad. It's usually pretty empty. Not sure how well Outlaws would do, but it's a good Marauder map. You can easily mob a bunch of Ghost Pirates together and finish them with Sommersault Kick.
Levels 80-90

8x-9x. Spawn is good. Quickest if going from the top of the map to the bottom, then changing channels or going into the cash shop to get back to the top. The drops are decent. Great for Transform, since a lot of the Duals will be clustered together on the platforms.

Party Quests
Kerning City Party Quest
Levels 21-30
Good place to earn a bit of EXP, make new friends, and try for some scrolls at the end. Not the best place to gain EXP now though, because training usually brings in lots more EXP gain.
Monster Carnival Party Quest (CPQ)
Levels 30-50
From levels 30-50, this is a fantastic place to earn easy EXP, and gain money by using the Coins to trade for your weapons, or get a Spiegelmann Necklace, which can be easily sold for 1mill+, depending on your server. Also of note, Gepharts NPC for 150K each, and only cost 7 coins. This is also a viable option.
Ludibrium Maze Party Quest (LMPQ)
Levels 51-70
You can get up to 15K EXP, and it usually takes a max of two and a half minutes. Also comes out with some nice NPCables, which you should NPC at the Pet Food merchant or the Valentine's Day merchant. That's not important to pirates, it's just a helpful tip I discovered.
Magatia Party Quest
Levels 71-85
Reserving this for when it comes out, otherwise I'll forget. xD
