new KMST gear has percentage based ACC and AVOID
Looks like this was removed for now.

I'd go further and say this change should simply be discarded.

It does nothing but make the rich richer, so to speak, and the poor poorer. Those classes that already have plenty of accuracy and/or avoidability, will get more. Those classes that already struggle with accuracy issues, will have an even harder time. What's the point?

And it's not just the statless builds, either. Even a Fighter using Nexon's own "auto-assign" for AP will not have 100 accuracy by level 35, so the Maple Sword he's finally able to equip will no longer do him nearly as much good as it used to.

That was quick...I'm glad they removed it or else I'd have to stab somebody (except I wouldn't have enough acc to do so).

Next crippling patch, attack becomes %-wise, please put on your seatbelts and wait patiently. I wonder if the % was a visual glitch to begin with or not since I haven't seen any screenshot with alleged change. Remember GMS was plagued with this for like a month or two before, with stats showing up as %+3 or something like that.

So as of right now nexon isn't implementing this? Cus I'd be storming their HQ if they did. Rolleyes

Dodged a bullet there I guess

My 233 acc would become 113 assuming you can use dex from equips.
It's just not realiztic at this pont to even be able to gain enough dex from lvl-ups to fix this by the time it would be implemented so I'm definitely glad it got scrapped.

I don't think you did your math right. What's the total amount of ACCURACY on your equipments?

66 dex from base and equips
25 luk from base and equips

169 accuracy from equips/blessing/buff/mastery -- this is corrected after adding it up again --added an extra 10 from somewhere, after taking it out it only makes it worse..

Edit: Well definitely doing it wrong, I forgot that it's a bonus and not strictly a multiplier, 172 acc wouldn't be that horrible, still a massive reduction though.

It was a nice thought, just the wrong way to implement it. Higher lvl gear with % based damage reduction <3 Yes pls.

Blessing, buff, and mastery aren't included in this. They go to your base, meaning your accuracy should increase with this system.

Hmm... assuming they "fix" this to the somewhat saner method of:
1) calculate total dex/luk including gear
2) get base acc/avd from those
3) add mastery, blessing, and buffs
4) multiply by 100% + gear percents

Then for example my warrior acc
1) 90 dex 24 luk
2) 84 acc
3) +20 +10 +10 = 124
4) 43% accuracy = 177 acc.

This puts the balance point of equality with current stats (assuming Zakum helm and MoN for +20 on 4 base luk) at 60 total dex, which is not unreasonable.

It also makes an interesting balance of dex/acc - with 124 acc and 40% accuracy, or 173 acc (Chief Ob. Guards), adding 10 base dex increases by 11 acc, while adding 8 accuracy on gear increases by only 10, whereas currently those would be equivalent.

It doesn't really address why they're doing this, though. Did thieves and pirates need more avoid? Did bowmen really need more acc? Warriors have low dex/luk, so end up with not much of either. I think my Paladin has about 80 avoid right now, which is mostly from equipment and blessing.

It just gives dexless warriors a new goal - hit 60 total dex, and your acc will be as before. Less than 60 dex? Your maple weapons are losing effectiveness...

Bah, I was hoping it was a real change. Such a coincidental change which was just a mistake?
