Me Wrote:Accuracy and Avoid is now based on percents too (but on all items, apparently). This is... oh god... I don't know what it is. But I'm smiling right now.

Over 1.5 hours late, but hey, oh well. And we have extraction threads for a reason.

I'm sort of excited, since this patch was sucky then drastically changed with HP percents and now Acc/Avoid. Pretty awesome to me.

I'm just wondering how this is going to work for warriors. When you have 50 ACC, +1% is pretty terrible compared to +1 ACC. Considering many warriors scrolled for ACC (since ACC > DEX per point), that could leave many warriors screwed. I suppose "wait and see" is the only available option.

And yet, at the same time this is very exciting. Many warriors already try to get the most out of their gear. Imagine getting +20% ACC from a ZHelm, and then being able to scroll that for more ACC! 40% from a single ZHelm sounds pretty damn godly to me. This might be good for higher level areas, but will force warriors out of their DEXless hiding.

So, figuring this into the equation for a zhelm

15 DEX = 12 ACC from DEX
12 ACC * 1.2 (ACC multiplier) = 14.4 ACC

That's a massive nerf. From 40 ACC down to 14.4 ACC.

This killed the dexless population.

Thank god I'm maining a mage :3.

THANK GOD MY VIPER HAS 80 BASE DEX.

Normal DEX wins, finally. Rolleyes

Well, technically low-DEX still wins, but now normal will be better than DEXless.

LOL.

+25%

That means my Valk would get over 100+ ACC with like 450 base.

new KMST gear has percentage based ACC and AVOID - Sarah - 2010-03-29

Yeah my ~200 dex aran will be invincible

Holy crap....Now I wish i scrolled my helm for dex >_______> % increase for warriors is mighty fail! Though I guess....having my helm provide me with almost half my accuracy wasn't a terribly varried set.

Ah, nothing like fucking up a large population of characters.

Although we still need to see this in practice.

KMS players don't go statless afaik so no, it's not screwing them over. Just screwing dumb damage whore westerners over Smile)))))) and potentially the japanese.

new KMST gear has percentage based ACC and AVOID - sicnarf - 2010-03-29

Damage whore? I have 20 base dex and have 186 acc...why would I need to go higher?

new KMST gear has percentage based ACC and AVOID - Loose - 2010-03-29

So, having a high base DEX is gonna be awesome? It's about time.

new KMST gear has percentage based ACC and AVOID - Fiel - 2010-03-29

I also theorized that NexKR would do the same thing with LUK. In other words, each point in LUK gives you +% in MATK. That would make normal LUK characters own.

Consider the fact that you have 163 LUK, which is the highest LUK to use anything in the game. At that level, you would have 159 level ups + base stats (subract 4 from DEX and 4 for STR since mages don't use those).

(159 * 5) + 17 = 812 AP

812 AP - 163 (LUK) = 649 INT

So 649 INT and 163 LUK

If each point in LUK gives you +0.5% in MATK, then...

649 * 1.815 = 1177 MATK

Now, if you were LUKless, you would have 808 AP to distribute (because base LUK must be 4). That would leave you with 808 INT. So yeah, that would make normal LUK much more powerful, especially since the MATK equation is naturally quadratic and higher LUK will get you more MATK on equips than lukless.

I'm going to disagree with you there. When it comes to Warriors, they do not lose the ability to wear higher level equips while remaining low to dexless. And if they have a massive influx of accuracy from other sources I don't see the problem.

Just take my case, I have 25 base dex. I'm in no way a huge stat whore (I had 70 base initially lolol). I have a str top, dex pants with speed (Note: not even acc), acc shoes (No FS, further proving my stat-whore less ness), a scarlion helm scrolled for acc and a MoN. That pretty much sums up my Acc equips and it gives me a whopping 191 clean, more than anything really needs.

Glad to see I'm not alone@ francis xD

Not seeing how this is a big deal.

new KMST gear has percentage based ACC and AVOID - Kabanaw - 2010-03-29

oh man, i hope they do this for HP and MP too. Of course, not a strait from +10 HP to +10% HP, but maybe on higher level equips add a % increase to health. That makes pirates, mages, and theives that go regular stat so much better. And for archers and warriors, more HP never hurt.

Stats were meant to be used in a certain way. I'm not sure why they even gave us the option to manually input them, really. But people found number exploits that would increase their damage output while allowing them to survive, instead of just putting the stats where they belong. While it's easy to argue this as strategy, sometimes strategies fail and backfire and you end up having to pay for it. Sometimes the safest path is the best one, which in this case was building your characters with the necessary stats to wear equipment, not just for survival.

Again D= You're missing the point for warriors!
