The Corrupted Empress

Ormykka Wrote:Well, what is the purpose of Paladin getting huge defence buff in the first place if it has no real use than use less pots at fights? Why not atleast try to use it to keep others in squad safe?

I'm saying that your saying its not a big deal because paladins can very possibly handle it is not exactly reassuring to everyone who isnt a paladin.

If we know the length of Pot cooldown we could overcome it with this.

Evan's Mana aura skill + Bishops heal in every party keeps everyone alive during the pot cooldown

We should try to think of all possible combinations of survival. Like that one. Or the "6 shadowers VS the world" one, etc.

I haven't tested it out after the BB patch yet, but before, Recovery Aura was essentially useless in a party because of the way it scaled the healing. How much each person healed was almost entirely influenced by the person with the lowest MP in the aura.

She can apparently zombify. So the only solution for some healing is the Mechanic one, Healing robots(20 MP 50; 40 second summon duration, H-LX heals 25% of max HP, 400% selfdestruct damage / 45 second cooldown). And I'm thinking these skills might be useful, Satellite (MP 40; 160% damage, summon up to 3 satellites), and Safety (Satellite attack damage increased by 50% / Triggers when attacked for more than 30% HP in damage, absorbs 80% damage / Cooldown time: 10 seconds), cd 9 secs with combat orders. I might be wrong with this, but its possible that only 1 Satellite out of the 3 u can summon is destroyed after absorbing a total of 80% dmg, so you have 3 satellites there that protects you and a CD of 9 seconds with combat orders. With threaten the 37k m.atk goes down to 25.9k, with Safety, Mechanics will take 1/5 that dmg, a bit less than 5.2k. Healing robots might be able to heal that dmg. And Mechanics have rush, so they can take damage and heal themselves enough hp to survive pot cd and zombify, and rush the monsters keeping the party alive. Of course, this is only if Safety works that way. I haven't considered other dmg reduction skills such as Combo Barrier, Evan's shield, and Blue Aura. Those might help even more.

Some more info from Spadow. It looks like the personality system won't help at all with survival against the Empress. If it does, it certainly will take a long time to get it up to level.

The Empress was also nerfed a bit. 25500 > 20400 attack, 35500 > 28400 magic.

I think that a party with a Paladin, an Aran, a Mechanic, and a DrK can tank this now.., too lazy to do numbers though. You got threaten, power guard, achilles, and combo barrier to reduce that 20.4k physical damage to 7.5k or lower(Healing robots will heal 7.5kdmg every 2 seconds to a Paladin with 30k hp, and if that's not enough the Paladin can heal himself). I'm pretty sure all those skills will be enough to lower that damage to something very low. Combo barrier is the only party skill there, and it can be used because Arans got Combo recharge after a balance patch in KMS, which adds 150 combos. 50 extra combos is not hard to get. The other members of the expedition can go hug the wall, while the Paladin rushes the Empress during pot cd. Hopefully, Dark Genesis won't hit the whole map....and kill them all.. The other problem should be damage reflect, but most bosses don't active this kind of skill till like 10% hp left.
Edit: Mechanic's healing robot heals 50% HP after the balance patch mentioned above, even better than I thought. 15k hp for a 30k hp Paladin.

Isn't this kMS TESPIA? The thread starter did state that it's kMST and the video(title) says not. If this would be tespia, I think it'll obviously get tweaked a bit.

I'm not sure what the potion cooldown time is, but I think a level 200 Bishop (considering the boss is level 180?) would have around 30K MP with Hyper Body and 6k+ HP? I think that would be enough for a few seconds to survive if the boss doesn't 1/1.

Pink Bean was hard before, but it seems that two full parties can kill it in about 30 minutes. It looks like a real challenge and I wonder how it'll turn out.

If DR is cast at specific moments then the paladin and DrK should be able to magic crash it properly (a 40 second window if coordinated properly) so that that doesnt happen. Likewise, fill the remaining to spots with Bishops and you'd have holy shield up for ideally 124 seconds out of every 140seconds (88% of the time. The bishops with maxed buff mastery would have it up on themselves 100% of the time). nullifing zombify and the other deadly spells for that long would be an immense help, i'd imagine, especially if the Bishops stay back to avoid damage and only get close for the occasional heal / buffs (using the mechs door to go back and forth, etc).

Why wouldn't she? She talked when the Cygnus Knights appeared and that Balrog boss can talk.

Yes they did pretty well for a 3 people party. Something that I can deduct necessary from watching that video is, like someone else already said here, rushing the Instructor knight to a corner far from the monions. You can have a party take care of the minions while the other 2 focus on the leader knight, however, even that wont be enough when the empress wake up and begins blowing everyone out with 30k DMG >_<

Like i said in another thread, spadow said only 18 people can get into this fight at a time, if you put in each party 1 battlemage, 1 DrK, 1 bishop, 1 shadower, 1 mechanic and 1 evan or aran, then you have no room for other jobs into this fight other than the aforementioned ones, excluding the rest out.

There are a couple of things that I find necessary for players to defeat her

1 - Change the party system or at least the Expedition system so this allows all players around, or all players in the same expendition to get buffs from ANY teammate. This would allow you to, lets say, use only 1 DrK to provide HB to the whole expedition. I know everyone would love this.

2 - Change Hero's Will to heal all abnormal statuses. Why on earth does it only heal seduce? its a 4th job skill with what? a 10 minutes cooldown time when maxed?. It deserves to heal ANY abnormal status already existant or that could exist in the future.

I might be more than just enough if my first sugestion gets applied to the game. It would open room for many new kinds of strategies in boss fights and make it so that the success of a expedition is not dependant on who you bring but the performance of every participant.

It may take a while to level, but from what I can see each personality can reach at least level 100 based on the amount of level slots, so it may give us some hope. Although I'm hoping that higher levels yield better rewards.

I'd rather have a 9/9 party system then all in one party. It would make stuff like perma invincible with smokescreen possible, I believe?

It would take 6 shadowers (iirc) for perm invincibility which seems like of party slots...
