Come to think of it, wielding a Sword in one hand and a Gun in another would be pretty cool.

Yes, I totally ripped that idea off from Granado Espada. Sue me.

I rather want a Gunknuckler thwat would be awesome, doing barrage and at the end a headshot 8D

Please don't compare mech skills to corkscrew. There is no comparison.

Resistance Warrior should wield a sword, shield, bow and gun, at the same time.

How exactly does that fix anything? 0.o

Actually, don't answer that.

What does limiting what weapons warrior classes use fix anything?

Fixed that for you.

Because it would avoid redundant weapons and situations in which one weapon in a set pales in comparison to its counterpart.

No, I said it right. You just read it wrong. And I also fixed you as well.

So, to avoid situations in which one weapon pales in comparison to another weapon you would make it where Heroes can only use 2 handed swords thereby making them weaker because a potential 1 hand weapon + a potential shield beats just a potential 2 handed weapon? And then you're going to take away polearms from Dark Knights thereby removing basically their only access to normal and fast speed weapons (There are very few normal speed spears and even fewer fast spears) and making them weaker too?

Why people care so much on what's realistic in a fantasy mmorpg (that obviously isn't real) is beyond me.

Anyways I could picture the Pirate class having a huge cannon that deals tons of damage but is really slow, kind of like Chung in Elsword. I think that'd be cool.

Excited to see what they do with the Hero though.

GUYS, IT'S BOWGUNS.

I'm sorta excited for the new Pirate class.

What I think the new pirate will look like (minus the other guy):

If you ask me I bet their gameplay will mostly be like gunbound.

You didn't fix anything; you simply added more words than necessary to get across a meaning which was readily apparent.

As for your claim that you "said it right":
>What does limiting what weapons warrior classes use fix anything?
>What does (gerund phrase) fix anything?
(gerund phrase) is the subject. "Does" is the verb. "What" is the direct object.
"Anything" serves no purpose.

MetaSeraphim Wrote:So, to avoid situations in which one weapon pales in comparison to another weapon you would make it where Heroes can only use 2 handed swords thereby making them weaker because a potential 1 hand weapon + a potential shield beats just a potential 2 handed weapon?
Arans, Dark Knights, Nightlords, Corsairs, Buccaneers, Bow Masters, Marksmen, Mechanics, and Wild Hunters all get along fine without the ability to use shields (well, maybe not Buccs).

Now, I understand your theoretical point (Heroes will be weaker than they are currently).
Well, kiddo, that's what game-balancing is all about. Easy as changing a multiplier.

MetaSeraphim Wrote:And then you're going to take away polearms from Dark Knights thereby removing basically their only access to normal and fast speed weapons (There are very few normal speed spears and even fewer fast spears) and making them weaker too?
Which also could be fixed by changing their Booster or the weapon multiplier.

Does adjusting the game in a way that isn't purely skill-tweaking make you that uncomfortable?

Ballista/mortar play-style? Yes, please!

My problem with ranged classes is that they all play the same (not that close-range are that different).
Why not have a class that doesn't fire straight forward?
For one, it would give more meaning to kick-back skills. It would also mean having to pay more attention to your positioning.

Would that be hard to program in? I mean you would need some indicator of where it was gonna land.

Already have skills like that, Sword. The gunslinger and night walker have bomb skills.

First of all, it would never be "hard" to program in. As FoolsLove said, there are already skills that work like that.

Keep in mind, also, that skill ranges don't have to center on the player.
So, for example, Arrow Rain's current range is this.
It would be trivial to create a similar skill which had this range.

A "crosshair" of sorts could similarly be added, but it wouldn't really be necessary.
This theoretical class would simply be another one that takes some practice.

Doesn't matter, it's still the same concept.
"Magic Warriors", or in better terms "Mystic Knights", imbues their weapons with the elemental powers to strengthen their attacks. Seems awfully familiar like a White Knight to me.

Perhaps nexon could incorporate the mouse and make the cursor a crosshair. It would make aiming easier and add a new factor to the game. Multitasking FTW?

Though bossing might be problematic in such a situation...

That could potentially get even more taxing on the fingers than spamming the attack key already does.

Just provide players with an easy way to procure skis of all level ranges, and you'll have DKs moving away from polearms of their own accord. Maybe introduce a new lvl 120 (faster) pair of skis.
