Our lawyers job is to protect our assets and though our players may feel it was the wrong move, our lawyers at the time may not have thought so. Anyways, as mention, hopefully we can rectify the situation that has been presented before us.

Understandably, BannedStory did not contain any global MapleStory content so please be patient with us. We understand our players find much importance in a site like BannedStory. Thank you.

We know (or believe?) they use it to create announcement banners etc. They probably don't want it gone.
Then why did they stop BannedStory from using GMS content? Either because lawyers do their thing without consulting the PR department, or because Nexon likes to have their cake and eat it too.

Anyway, I find it hard to believe Nexon Korea has anything to do with Sleepywood, so that conspiracy theory doesn't work for me. I think they might be planning on releasing their own simulator (which will of course be inferior to BannedStory, so they don't want people being able to compare at the time it comes out).

Anyway, this sucks.

They wouldn't be thrown a C&D, but Nexon can get youtube to take their videos down at any time.
So far they don't bother, mostly because these vids just give them free publicity, but who knows? We thought BannedStory did them no harm, either.

MS3 it will have to be, i've been trying to find if someone did a rip or something of MS4, but to no avail.

Here's an idea. How about NexonAM integrate BannedStory into their own website? Win/win for everyone?

Wishful thinking of course, but it'd be much easier than having lawyers trying to make sense of it all.

Nope. It would be a loss for NexAM. They already have this ability integrated into the cash shop where you can buy pixels. Why would they create an alternate version of the cash shop where you can't buy anything?

Because in the cash shop, the background is not blank and you cannot control all the poses or change hair/face, you cannot see monster sprites or map sprites either etc etc

I don't see them making it tho.
