would help if party skills works for the whole expedition, except for skills like BaM's auras and such.

MMOs don't do that. Hey, I'm new here. Anyways, I had a thought, you go into the past, defeat the Black Mage, and eventually the present day is changed allowing for some other new bad guy to pop up. It would be, say, a month, a year after Black Mage is fightable, they change the future, with a new bad guy, or one that eventually comes along. Or after the month to a year period, they nerf Maplestory as we know it, destroying all characters, and start a whole new story, possibly without legends, Cygnus, and anything related to the Black Mage (not at all likely).

Oh, yeah, lol. Well, it was a thought. Maybe not the past-past, but sometime after his first defeat but before present day?

NEW INTERESTING POINT.
So, the new personality stuff gives more hp/mp on certain personality branches, right? Well... consider that too. Maybe it was with that in mind. In fact, maybe, the effects only have a lower chance to happen, or the duration, even, thanks to precisely that. Source? Spadow.

Alloy Wrote:NEW INTERESTING POINT. Few things wrong with that though: 1) We don't know how much HP it will add. (or do we? I haven't seen a single source as to what the personality stat bonuses are per level) 2) More HP, while it will help classes that can't take the kind of damage this boss and it's summons are dishing out (8ks from summoned summoned warriors, 12k from instructors, possible 35k from queen?), the pot cooldown alone would give any current GMS squad hell with this fight even if all of the members had 90k+ HP. Do we know how long the cooldown on pots in this fight is? I've been assuming it's at least 20 seconds like DRPQ is.

The cooldown on pots seems to be pretty long. Like 30 seconds or something. Definitely long enough for you to get killed before you can use it again.

If this is the case, then there is only one class who can take the fight. Paladin. Barely getting hit and if get hit, the damage is close to none. Self heal every 30sec so can take turns, pot & heal. I think that empress will summon the knights one by one. As seen from the video, she summoned the warrior and went to background. Seems similar to PB and statues. I can bet that after all the knights are taken down, she will step up and fight herself. So the main focus should be taking down the job instructor and not focus on the minions they summon. In the videos case, rush the warrior in corner (Paladin to take the hits) and let the monsters keep attacking Paladin. Meanwhile other attackers can focus on killing and not getting hit. Buff paladin with all the defence buffs can find (Combo barrier, smokescreen) and mechanics healing robot if things get too tight. Also didn't they change the defence scrolls? Paladin with perfectly scrolled defence gear can easily take all the hits in this fight and be the tank for the rest of the squad. I think this might be the key to beat her. Seems more similar to other games like wow f3 Not that it's a bad thing tho.

I believe mechanics do have high defenses too and take very little dmg. Would it be feasible to wash them to at least 14k hp?

Sadly, I doubt that the defense they gave us via formulas and skills will be of much use. 35k damage is still a lot, even if you consider the damage reduction of defensive skills and stuff, especially if you're a ranged class. Also, what are we supposed to use, defense equips? Should we really throw attack away for defense? But then, will one hour even be enough to defeat the boss? I doubt.

I have a question, is it a cooldown to POTIONS or to A potion?
I mean, can you use a cheese, then milk, then an elixir and such? with 30 sec or whatever time it is in between the use of the same potion?

Darkmaniak Wrote:I have a question, is it a cooldown to POTIONS or to A potion? It's the same as DRPQ, using one pot puts a cooldown on all of them.

They probably have a cooldown like in dfo (one type of potions shares a cooldown with another type, eg. in DFO there are type A and B HP potions, using a type A potions puts a cooldown on all of the other type A potions that you have, type B works the same way. MP potions are type C and D which work like HP potions and there are miscellaneous stat potions and stuff that are type E. Basically potions of the same type share a cooldown and don't interfere with other types) but without 2 types for HP and 2 types for MP. They might split % and fixed potions though, I'm not really sure.

All potions have a cooldown in DRPQ as far as I know, and it's probably the same for this boss.
