Tournament of Picks

Yeah, I already have my choices for the next round of this tourney. I'm mainly using this to spread bands I know about, choosing not to drop big name bands like Queen or something because I find that to be a little unfair/not fun.

Heh I have so many faves to pick from, that most of the stuff I pick will probably be a bit out there. I think doing a specific genre format one of these might be fun as well. Something like a pop one, rock one, soundtrack one, etc.

I picked Life is a Construct.

If we do a themed one, it should be video game music. I'm sure there wouldn't be a shortage of voters for it.

Match 1: Minus the Bear - Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse. I'm actually kind of surprised this hasn't had a single vote yet. It did so well in round 1.
Match 2: FFX OST - To Zanarkand. Just beautiful. I'm actually trying to teach it to myself on piano now. >_>

Match 1: Ronald Jenkees - Stay Crunchy. I honestly don't love the Tales song, and Stay Crunchy is pretty awesome.
Match 2: Sanxion7 - EternuS. Tough one for me actually, but I ended up going with this one.

Match 2: Florence & The Machine - Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up). The other entry in this match was just... meh. And I like Rabbit Heart, so there you go.

I think that it would be a nice gesture if people don't go around calling other people's choices (probs what are some of their fave songs, too) terrible, awful, etc - saying "[x] is not my taste" or something similar gets the same message across without indirectly insulting somebody's musical preference.

Not trying to pick on you yosh, I've just seen comments like that going around and I think it's counter-intuitive to the spirit of the competition.
