Item Guard Expiration Glitch
#61
Cactuar Wrote:Alright, two things:

1) Maspan, bringing something up after dropping it and being far too lazy to correct the typo using the convenient edit feature (and actually doing more work than editing it out) was completely unnecessary. You could have just corrected it.

2) ShMaiz3r, there is no need to get so defensive over a single comment. If you didn't spend 450 grand on a green snail shell, does it really matter if others think you did? Also, I'm going to note, happening to "casually mention" that certain people are trolls is a form of trolling itself.

So, both of you, drop it. The amount he may or may not have spent on NX is a non-issue and does not relate to the purpose of the topic.

I apologize for jumping to conclusions. I've done what I can to help you, we'll see where it goes.

Just put it in one of those places and keep placing tickets until you get a solution. Eventually they'll fix it especially if you keep telling them over and over again.

More on topic: What kind of an absolute prostitute sells expiring gear, and how come its just not one nitwit lacking in attention, but several dumbskulls that buy them?
You and few other didn't listen to the phenomena, during transactions via vicious', legendary spirit, trade probably, etc, there is no expiration date.
The was no knowing it would expire unless asked.

Yes, there WAS. There has been proof through screenshots (and I've seen it in-game) of items in stores/trade windows having the expiration date. The items have the same principles binding them as, say, the alphabet letters from last event.

GM Cheezpuff Wrote:Greetings,

Thank you for contacting Nexon America's Customer Support team.

I have read your ticket fully and understand that you have many concerns regarding their friends and other players. However, we cannot discuss these playersÂ’ or any other player's issues that may be related with your own issue. This is due to our privacy policy, and it helps keep our players safe. We can only discuss your own issues regarding this matter with you.

I do understand that your item is displaying an expiration date after having removed an item guard from it. Please be aware that we have been investigating this matter under close scrutiny, and that even though it may not seem so, we are working on making progress towards a resolution for this issue. We have forwarded the information that you have provided to us in this ticket to the correct department and they will continue their investigation. We simply ask that you continue to be patient during this time.

Again, I understand you are concerned, but we simply cannot discuss the issues of other players with you. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

At this point, all you or anyone can do is leave it in your storage until Nexon does something. I expect this issue to be unresolved for several months. Chin

It'd be nice if they made some public announcements though...

Assholes.

"Displaying an expiration date."

"Working on making progress towards a resolution in this issue. In the meantime, be patient."

Rephrased: We'll wait until it disappears to do anything.

Honestly, do what Cyanne said a few pages back - put it on a mule on the same account as your Hero and don't log on that mule after October 13th. At least then if they keep sending you messages saying "we're still waiting hold plz" you know they're just trying to wait for it to disappear in order to provide crappy compensation, which you can call them out on.

There's so much rage over that response and this whole issue it can't be properly expressed in words.

Oh, and would you stop posting here please? I read the first two pages of this, and I specifically recall you basically throwing this whole issue into a dramatic frenzy, then backing out at the top of the second page in disgust saying you'd never post on one of the OP's threads again.

And what do you continue to do? Prove yourself an immature hypocrite. Just stop before your hole is too deep.

He apologized. No need to revive the drama.

So it's okay for you to assume he buys nx via mesos, but it's completly absurd for anyone here to assume this guy isn't an active player on any forum and was completely unaware of the situation?

As I said earlier, keep it somewhere until they fix it. I'd rather wait a year than watch 2.1bil dissapear.

Mhm. K. My apologies.

Does buying a new item-guard for an expiring item change the "expiration-date" to the one the new guard has?

It doesn't work. Try it on your beach sandals to see what I mean.

What do you mean assume? What I said had nothing to do with forums, it has to do with the fact that in game you CAN see the expiration on items in shop/trade windows. I mentioned forums only in reference to someone who had posted a screenshot of this as evidence. Regardless, I apologized, and am doing what I can to help him. Please don't stir the drama soup, it's already burnt.

What I mean is that the items, no matter where they are (store window, inventory, etc) have a visible expiration date on them. There is no way that this was not present when he bought the item, that is all. Visiting a forum does not come into the equation at all.

Just to clarify what I was saying about the forum is that, initially it was said it was a visual glitch. To get anymore information on that he'd have to ask around or go to a forum. I wouldn't see a point if it was clarified from a ticket its a visual glitch.

True, but the expiration date would show regardless, which ought to be enough to make one suspicious. It's a moot point now, as he bought the item, and all that matters at this time is getting the expiration date removed and the item prevented from expiring, which I am doing what I can to help with.

Also, the only people who ever bekueved ut was a visual glitch were Nexon employees. Nobody else believed that load for an instant.

The sword is still glitched (even after passing its deadline, it remains not fixed):
This SS was taken in the 19th October:
