Unwashed ranged classes are a waste of time?
#61
The higher level one wouldn't need to put any points into HP to survive, though. Every class can HT without washing or any HP gear besides a MoN and an HP earring by 17x. Washing would actually make you weaker if you're not a heavy NX buyer because you could've used those funds to buy better gear.

1k NX per luk is cheaper than any gear I could upgrade or I wouldn't have done it :p And it's not like you need very good gear for the cost per atk/stat to rise above that.

It's also a constant price (barring sales), once your gear beats it, you might as well wash everything.

This is a game design issue. Nothing more. Nexon needs to re-assess how damage is distributed to all classes. One damage-fits-all formula is obviously not working. People are spending too much time and money on an issue they shouldn't NEED to address to begin with.

STOP spending money on AP resets, STOP bossing, SEND tickets to Nexon until such a stink is raised they actually do something about it.

Sending them so much of your money on an issue they need to fix is simply telling them, "we are too stupid to ask that this issue be fixed and instead reward you for your sloppy programming, please take this incentive to do NOTHING".

Nexon wont do anything no matter how much we bombard them with tickets, they make far to much from the resets they sell.

I was going to make a table with all the Boss damage and the ridiculous level one has to be to survive it with "normal" HP...but I couldnt find out how much damage each boss did.

I think I'll just give up trying to change things or peoples perceptions and go hide in my hole...

No I agree completely. It's ridiculous the amount of money and effort to find int gear it is just to have good hp, especially for old characters.

I mean I'm even considering buying noob int gear (add's up to 6x int) and remaking a NL, without even double/MP washing to get extra hp. All these new characters have way more hp than I can ever have.

And Blooding isn't an option I don't want to be weak, but I still want to participate in bosses.

i stopped HT'ing with HP gear at 4.9k base HP. papu bombs do 4.7k max to me.

i put about 25-30 AP into HP through levels 155-170, didn't get reset til i was 19x using NX i saved that i got through MTS from mesos i picked up while training. i have like 5.8k HP with mark of naricain now.

partially i agree with what u said. i had really low hp till around 17x , and with jus 11 lvl levels left i could double wash till 195 196 and aim for enough hp. has it been a waste of $? it seems so. sure i can take a lot more hits but whats the real cost. the only actual benefit seems from being able to pb.

my friend got hacked and his character was deleted. fortunatly thanks to those ap resets being on sale he was able to spend only $250 and create a bm with 7.7k hp at 150. at the same rate of 1 for 3.1k nx. hes essentially spent less than 80 resets at full price. i could have created a nl again and possibly beat him or made it stronger, godlyer. but who knows. the one thing i like is hp washing is permanent. it wont vanish like some cs item. its there for good.

my take on this: yes hp washing can be expensive. jus wait for a huge sale to cash in for a fresh start

and if ur really that poor go blood wash. the idea of maple is to have fun. its a game to waste time on. not to win a race to see who has the most hp. cause i know some nls already have 18-19k base and whos gonna compete with them?

Hp washing is ok to me, it is a benefit over other people where I can survive better and do things earlier than others, just like spending an extra hour in the FM to make some more money, put some more effort into it.

What the bad part is is the huge cost for the Resets. I think they should lower the price, or keep the good bundle price for the Resets.

$3.1 (+ tax) can get me like lunch at McDonalds, or an AP reset.
$1 (+ tax) can get me some candy at a store or a can of soda or some bull**** item, or an AP reset on sale.

I would gladly give up some candy or a can of soda for 16 more hp. But giving up lunch for (for me since I'm basically 160) 40 levels adds up.

Agreed. I (sadly) used $60 worth of resets during that event, and from what I calculated, I'll need about another $50 (now $153) to meet 18,750 HP (30,000 with HB). I don't intend on paying another cent for resets until bundles go back on sale. If Nexon continues to make epic bosses and harder monsters that ranged classes cannot stand a chance against because of their low HP (PB, Black Crow if you slip up, even Oblivion mobs), then they are at least going to need some manner of getting HP cheap, be it resets or even better items with HP.

Yes I know you are unwashed(I washed around 5 times i think)
I have 3.7k base at 127... you're 154 with 4.4k base? Was your base HP low or something at the beginning of the game or did my washing really make that big of a difference?(i wear a MoN:f6:

You know Corsairs only gain 22-26 HP a level, right? That's 594-702 HP in 27 levels. I have 700 HP more than you.

I'm 155 now with 4434 HP.
