There are still mega evolutions to be discovered in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The article is in Portuguese so I just did a google translate with some fixed words (makes more sense):

Quote:Eurogamer : Are there more mega evolutions to reveal?

Shigeru Ohmori : Yes, there are many Pokémon with mega evolutions in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and some have not yet been revealed. We expect players to explore the game and find out for themselves.

Eurogamer : Is Dragonite one of the mega evolutions to be revealed?

Shigeru Ohmori : You like a lot of Dragonite, do you not?

Eurogamer : Yes (laughs).

Shigeru Ohmori : I want to save some surprises for the game, so you'll have to play to find out.

The character art is fantastic.

Really like that adult bug catcher though. He's so creepy looking.

Also, I just thought of something. Since we can complete the dex with XY + ORAS than that means we'll get the Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova starters in ORAS, as Kanto and Kalos were in XY.

We can complete the dex with both games? I thought they just said we can catch all legendaries. Where is this stated?

That's really cool! Maybe it'll be through a feature similar to the safari we got after the game in X/Y where everyone got 3 pokemon in theirs.

Found this fan-art of Hoopa's other form, I like it:
 Spoiler
I think it has a really great design.

Also I like how the Hoenn region dex is pretty much the same as the original, except it includes the evolutions introduced afterwards like Rhyperior, Gallade and Probopass.

Double post, but eh.
"Mega" Hoopa is actually a form change and not a mega evolution. It changes form through a key item.

We now know how compatability will work between X/Y & ORAS:

Quote:Battles:

Online and wireless battles in the games remains exactly the same as before. While between Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire games you can do and use anything, when you connect with players of Pokémon X & Y, there are several restrictions. Essentially, you cannot use any of the new Mega Evolutions, new Primal Reversions, new items, new moves and new abilities in battle against these players. The game will inform you as you select your team whether or not it can be used.

The Battle Spot changes this up somewhat. In Free Battle, Pokémon X & Y and Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire run different matchmaking schemes so they will never encounter each other. In Rating Battle, they also run different schemes, with Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire's scheme changing somewhat from the standard of Pokémon X & Y
  • ΩR/αS League: Open only for players of Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. This league lets you only use Pokémon that were caught, hatched or distributed in Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.
  • XY League: Open only for players of Pokémon X & Y. This league lets you only use any Pokémon, including those that were transferred from Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 or White 2.

Trades:

Trading is the other one of the core aspects of Pokémon and also has several restrictions. Many of these restrictions will be akin to those in Pokémon X & Y where you couldn't trade Pokémon holding the Discount Coupon online. Like battling, you won't be able to trade Pokémon who hold any of the new Mega Stones over to Pokémon X & Y, but you can trade them fine between various copies of Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. You also cannot trade Pokémon who have the new moves that are introduced in the new game.

Currently, it is not clear as to how the special PSS features of Wonder Trade and the Global Trade Station will run, whether or not they run separate servers for the two games or if there will be restrictions.

Pokémon Bank:

Pokémon Bank is a piece of software that was introduced after Pokémon X & Y to store the various Pokémon obtained in the game. Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire will contain full compatibility with Pokémon Bank at launch.

As Pokémon Bank removes the items that are on the Pokémon before putting them in the Bank, compatibility isn't much of an issue. However, it is not currently known how the software will handle the new moves, as to whether they'll upload and not be able to be moved to Pokémon X & Y later, or if they'll be blocked from uploading.

Huh...interesting.

Comment on the regional dex. Don't click the tag if you don't want to see it.

Edit:
This is probably a really late realization, but as I spent the last hour and a half coding an android application for one of my classes whilst listening to various iconic pokemon theme music, I realized that we are getting an updated/remixed copy of the R/S/E Soundtrack. Much hype!

Also, for those of you in Canada, seems a decent number of EBGames stores are giving out the Diancie codes early. They gave me one when I went to check if they got the Gengar ones in yet.
