Probably not miracle workers. Slave drivers maybe.

Two months, month and a half estimate. It's being released in April 4.

Oh, my bad. My friend was telling me a month, and I took his word for it. Still, A LOT of work to do in 45-60 days.

I'm still amazed the game is still under NDA, especially with how close to release the game actually is.

When in the tutorial and you have to go to the undercroft there is a opening in the walls, make sure you DONT go in it as you will not be able to get out.

It still amazes me how many of us, with modern equipment that can handle pretty much anything else, can't even get it to launch this close to release Tongue
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Mine launched first shot. Getting it to close however required task manager .__.

Are you amazed? There's a very simple reason behind it, they want to milk it as much as possible before the subscriber decline forces them to go F2P.

Sadly, I haven't gotten a Beta key, but my brother did so I've been watching him play.

The graphics are purdy, although I'm sure with future mods people will make it stupid realistic.

The quest system is meh. I wasn't crazy about it, and a lot of the time the characters kept repeating redundant information that just wasted your time. Some of the dialogue's audio was also all over the place in terms of volume. In one sentence they'd be whispering and in the next they'd be screaming at us. I couldn't help but laugh and scream back in response.

I haven't really had much of a chance to level a whole lot, and the combat system has elements of the ESO series, but aren't exactly the same ala Skyrim or something like that, which is too bad IMHO. What I'm more curious about is how expansive they're truly planning on making this world. Say for instance I got to skyrim, will I be looking at Bethesda's Skyrim or Zenimax's Happy Meal version of Skyrim?

Did you read the Q&A sessions? Four pages of articles and they more or less answered this.

Oh, there's Q&A sessions? Balls, I feel silly now that I'd completely missed that. Thanks for pointing it out.

Well it's definitely going to be smaller than Daggerfall's world map. =p

Happy meal version it is.

Severe disappoint! Suddenly I feel like this game is more smoke and mirrors than it is ~*game-changing MMO*~ (or whatever it/fanboys claimed it to be).

Daggerfall is probably my favorite game in the series, but that map was WAY too big and generic looking. TESO's world being significantly smaller than Daggerfall's is a good thing.

I just always pictured ESO's being this huge, expansive, diverse, full-of-depth map. A bit romanticised in my mind I suppose. I just enjoyed the idea of getting entire and utterly lost in the game, it really lends itself to immersion (literally!). Although I'm sure it wouldn't be as generic looking as Daggerfall was due to extreme graphic/worldgen advancements?

While I like this game, I don't think I'll be buying a subscription.
I feel like that these kinds of games are better enjoyed alone. I mean I absolutely love Skyrim but I never thought of playing it with someone since I enjoy playing it by myself and have no problem with it.

I haven't been playing much either since:
1. My first character just won't log in
2. My second character can't get out of the prison

Though I didn't try yesterday, maybe I should give it a shot now.

I'm also proud that I got the username "Maryse" upon signing up.
Unfortunately, the character name "Maryse" was already in use. Frown

Don't put your hopes up for this game being moddable.

Woohoo, thanks to a fix on the forums I can actually play this on my Gaming-PC now and it looks quite like I'd hoped for and expected.

So far the smaller areas I've been in have most certainly been big enough, and being an MMO means it can keep expanding, so I am optimistic.

It was really just a lack of time and money that caused Daggerfall to look the way it does. Bethesda was too ambitious for its own good and could have really paid the price for that.

Things I've noticed on TESO:

* Many times I'll get stuck in the dialog scene when I try to leave, and I have to logout to start playing again. Anyone know a better way to escape this problem?
* All the characters and NPCs tend to look the same based on their race. I've seen the Breton NPCs and they all have the same features as my character...
* The combat is okay. It's a little weird using skills instead of just swinging a sword the old fashioned way in an Elder Scrolls game.
* I don't really care for the quest system. It's an Elder Scrolls game, so I just want to explore places on my own terms. Sad
* There's at least one bisexual NPC and a gay NPC on the Daggerfall Covenant side. Haven't seen any lesbians yet.

Overall I'd say a lot of things need to be fixed and improved upon before the game is finalized (which is true for any Beta) but exploring all of Tamriel again is just way too enticing for me. I'll stay fairly optimistic for now.
