The Elder Scrolls: Online (TESO)
#1
Starting the thread for this one since no one else has for some reason.
Always loved the series, so I will be exploring this one with great curiosity and excitement.

Got my beta keys in hand, client download in progress and eager to go! Biggrin

I've been in CBT for the past couple rounds but I can never manage to either find time to play or connect to the game due to the server being packed as balls. I've heard nothing but bad news about the game and am wondering if this might be a huge failure when it comes out.

People are citing that its broken from the start because people who preorder it can break the alliances built into the game and become any race on any alliance.

But those tidbits aside, I'm really hoping I can get some gameplay time in this round.

See ya ingame maybe Eos!

I just don't see how something that minor is game breaking.
It's not like they're handing pre-orders end game material there. It's not even as bad as letting have crazy class/race combinations in some games.

I am concerned about the 'single server' and crowding issues. Stunned

Just checked my email when I seen this thread, did everyone get the beta stress test for Friday?

"Many" did. Probably not everyone in the queue, cause they still have a reserve they're supposed to be sending out for the next test.

I have a beta invite I can give to someone. Keys are tied to the account.

I'm not sure I want to play this weekend, although I probably should. If a bunch of you guys jump in I probably will as well. Kiss

I'm downloading the client right now. It's definitely going to take a long time...it's been about two hours and I'm only at 9%. O_o

Anyway it'll be great to visit the Illiac Bay again. Big Grin

They're nothing compared to like Guild Wars and Star Wars The Old Republic were. :f6:

its just that gun based MMO's are slightly harder to pull off than one with primarily melee weapons and magic

I finally reached 30%. I think this will take a couple days, depending on my work schedule. =o

I've made it to 32... good thing the stress test isn't for days Rolleyes

On the bright side, my download speed is > 15 mB/s at the moment so maybe I'll be done soon.
