Reimbursement for false item deletion

So, while everyone continues to cry about their deleted legitimate gear, let me squirt some lemon juice in there. It appears that hackers were smart enough to diversify their duplicated items because someone is selling/has sold 100+ 2% All Stat Nebulites. Can you legitimately accrue this many B Nebulite? Yes. Is is likely? No. Especially not, given the Hired Merchant's name and the stacks of other things it is selling. There is a bit of assumption in there so take that however you want. Just reporting in.

Not to downplay his effort, but the tone I read "just make sure to give us a good mention, yeah?" was in a scumbaggy "Heyyyy, so we noticed you have a large subscriber base and could slander opinions towards Nexon. Can't be having a riot here!"

Reading that one specific line just left a weird taste in my mouth and makes me wonder if they did it out of good will or double meaning behind his generosity.

Cynics aside, it was pretty neat seeing this also.

I certainly would not rule out that it is most likely a major factor.

As much as I agree with you I also feel for Nexon and the legit ones that got their items deleted. Nexon has to deal with people like this

Your last sentence pretty much sums up my view. I've been trying live chats and I got the same automated msgs almost 100 times . Whats the point of them having live chat if they are just copying salutations.

It helps that in Bryan's case, he had good video proof that his item was legit. Sometimes, it feels like the people with illegit items are the ones trying the hardest to get them back. I had a few people in alliance who lost legit no-boom AEE and all they did was send a ticket. Someone else in alliance who lost equips enhanced with duped no boom AEE not only sent a ticket trying to get the equips back, but also made a post on the official forum and tried live chat at least once. We watched as his story changed from "I bought hundreds of no boom AEE for 1 meso each and used" to "I used a few no boom AEE but they all failed" to "I used regular AEE and they failed but I didn't use no booms". I do hope that people who lost legit items get them back, but it's hard for Nexon too since a lot of the people complaining actually lost illegit items.

Agreed and I have not lost sight of that. I wonder if that person in your alliance actually got their illegit items back or some other form of compensation; all for cheating.

The star number 10 was on December 19, the purchases corresponding to December 25-26 were for the star number 11 for my cape.

You all realize you're complaining abou something that has been this way for well over half a decade. The whole reason this thread exists is simply because of the god like miracle of bryan actually getting results.

Has anyone seen or heard of anyone else getting their legit items back? Or (god help us) illegit items being returned?

I assumed it was a publicity thing since he even said "put a good word out there for us" but damn that is low if they aren't going to even bother looking into other cases.

We'd just finished a few chaos Vellum runs and I was still in the Skype voice chat, Kohnay was speechless trying to tell us what happened, about brought a tear to my eye. :')
