Flamethrower verse Gaviota

Doesnt 1 point in Air Strike completely replace Graviota in damage done? Oh and does it replace Graviota like Burst replaces DS?

I cant see the point of getting more than 15 Graviota...

1.You never use it in training during 3rd Job anyway.
2.Air Strike completely replaces it from lv1.

air strike is an entirely different skill. it doesn't replace anything. I use gaviota all the time when I'm training, and it does speed it up, so I'm not really sure where you get that "never" from. o_O

I'm doing max flamethrower instead of gaviota though. The bird is too random. I'll get to lv 15 so I can get air strike and that's all. Plus I've never been to himes. OOOH flamethrower should be pretty there.

Alot of Hackers at himes in GMS right now. I went there the other day to see how good the exp was. Never got to. Hacker on every channel.

Air Strike replaces the 2nd job Grenade (lol). I still use that once in a while when I want to clear something without getting hit from a ridiculous sniping angle. Not while training, obviously.

Burst fire is a "boost" to Double Shot.
Wraith of the octopi is a "boost" to Octopus.
You can still summon gaviota and air strike separately.

oh lol. we were talking about it in-game and couldn't figure out why he would say something like that when everyone else was talking about skills actually replacing eachother. o_o;

Point still stands though that FT and gaviota are used very rarely in normal training for corsairs. I'd rather be able to have both skills at an "optimal level of efficiency" instead of solely 1 skill.

Nono, I mean, with Air Strike's massive hit radius, I wouldn't ever need to use Grenade to hit far away monsters again.

Gaviota doesn't hit that much farther down either. o_o I don't know why you would want to hit something under you anyway. That kind of training map was never used after magatia. If you want to hit something under you in high level training, jump down, or let your partner hit it. xD

Or use invisible shot if you want to hit something under you.

I was dropping Grenades on those monkey things in Leafre the other day from a platform high above them. Took forever, but it was pretty awesome to have Grenade there. Saved quite a few pots, as I was only level 72 or something like that.

I plan my builds around factors other than training and bossing.
