I don't understand what all the drama is with the ticket system.

There are at least four threads a year from sleepywood where this exact same thing is done and who knows how many on Basil & other sites. There've been at least two of them on this site since February of 2010. Its quite literally the oldest, most retried attempt of all of them. All the other weird things you've seen have been done because this route doesn't do a damn thing.
There's literally billions of things you haven't seen done. Doesn't mean they didn't happen. It's idiotic to dismiss what you're being told has been tried before and keep trying, not merely stubborn. There comes a point where any rational person has to accept that moving the ocean with an eye dropper isn't working any better with several hundred eye droppers.
Do you know what happens to 500 copies of the same ticket? They get the same copy pasted reply and 0 actual attention. As soon a the scan the first five words they think "Oh, form letter. *reply* *paste*, *next*". Sending in tickets does not get issues to the place they need to go to effect change. They go to entry level grunts who don't give a pineapple and couldn't change anything if they wanted to. The last real change we actually successfully pulled off took a letter writing campaign addressed to an actual person in a position of relevance in Nexon HQ. No matter how many times it's been done and hasn't worked, no matter how many years you can say it's done, you can't just throw your hands up and say it's over. NEXON may lack motivation or any will to do something. Just once it could happen. Someone could do one experiment over and over and over, and so can others for years. But, one person could find the answer by doing the same steps. I'm going to use a quote you said "Someone has to win the million dollar jackpot. I won't know if it's me unless I try."

There are sources that you have sent them that show them how to fix their code to prevent any and all hacking attempts that involve duping through channel crashing? O_O

You can look them in the eye, realize they are never going to change and leave.
What you suggest is the abused housewife go back to her alcoholic husband because maybe just maybe this time he will spontaneously change and not beat her.
pineapple that bullshit, peach. I am too damn old for that nonsense, I deserve better and am not putting myself through the delusion again.

This is a no win game. A lotto has a gauranteed pay out, eventually and the winnings improve the longer you wait. This is purely diminishing returns and the longer it takes for things to resolve the less meaningful and valuable the winnings are.
Accept Maplestory for the bastardized piece of crap Nexon keeps it as. If you want better, find a better game.

Unfortunately(in your eyes at least) I have never seen Maplestory as that because I've had a 95% positive experience. The times I've been hacked have been by my own stupidity, I haven't been banned by the auto ban system, I've never had boss run problems you guys talk about, I've never once walked away with a ticket saying "that was pointless"(except once which is besides the point), and I've never been poed with NEXON as a whole. We can "scream" at each other till we're blue in the face but our opinions won't change one another. You believe it's pointless to keep trying where as I think something will happen if you keep trying.

In all honesty, there are few things I can't tolerate from hackers, but overall, I'm pretty passive over them.
pineapple the economy, pineapple greedy players who are obsessed with their in-game status and leveling ''effort'', and pineapple people who tell others how to play a game.
Whining to Nexon is just going to make them go ''ROLLBACK, PROBLEM SOLVED LOLOLOLOLOL''. I'm really not going to join such a cause, not that I'd make a difference. When I go on Maplestory, I play it, and I enjoy it. The hackers hardly hinder my time. The only time I've ever been screwed over by hackers is when they indiscreetly camp in channels and KS the hell out of everyone, like when I first started playing Maplestory. Everyone always said ''I'ma get my hax acc to ks u''. I'm sick of trying to join in on the community to rebel against these guys, I'm just going to play Maplestory for myself and enjoy it for myself from now on.
The only hacks I can see that are immediate and need to be stopped are:
Boss dc'ing and camping.
Server crashing
Ch crashing
FM crashing
I don't care about item duping, really. There's a simple action called ''Not using duped items''. People in Phantasy Star would be so arrogant as to not trade with other players in fear of getting illegit items, and then preach how everyone who does trade doesn't deserve to consider themselves legit.
I'd rather them fix their shitty autoban system so it doesn't ban legit players, and fix all the glitches they have in the game before they start worrying about hackers.

How do you know what items are duped and what arent? Most people like to try and upgrade equips, in or buy things in FM because they like how it looks, or like to collect chairs, how do you know any of them AREN'T duped? you don't, not all of them anyways, sometimes / very rarely you can tell, but most of the time you would never be able to know. You could be using duped items right now, unless you made them all yourself.

IIRC from what I've heard, the duped items have the same ID as the item they were duped from.
I don't really pay attention to this stuff, so I could be wrong.

I posted a situation similar to this in Phantasy star, so I already solved this question.

yes, but just as a player, how can you seriously tell what items are duped and what aren't? that was more or less what i was trying to say.

That game must be pretty lame, if everyone is so paranoid to do anything in fear they might get illegit items

Then, there is no need to worry about duped items. Who cares if some random asshat made 2 of the same item? What does that change? Where are people pulling these moralities out of their ass from? No matter how far you go to earn something, just because it's ''duped'' doesn't mean that makes someone any less popular.

Thing is people arent just making 2 of an item, they are making thousands and thousands, and it ruins a good part of the economy in the game, and judging from how idiotic nexon becomes during such times, many players will most likely get banned for having such items they bought and didnt know they were duped.

That's a good arguement, however the arguements I see on here involve it as being from a moral point of view, that things such as duped items make someone a bad person.
But yes, I would agree that Nexon really needs to educate themselves in who they're banning.

I have to say the people who dupe mass amount of items are bad people, atleast 75% of the time they are. They make a lot of copies of a specific and popular item, and then sell it for real money, in bulk, without caring what might happen to the buyer, or even how it will effect anyone else, they only care about getting money, for no effort at all. People make thousands of dollars off this game just by duping items, and selling them to players who will do anything for a little extra dmg, or a lot more dmg.

My friend's a BT vip, I convinced him to just explain too me with the programs he uses. Unfortunately the actual programs are locked onto whatever computer downloads them and you can't just copy them for obvious reasons. I don't know how to make it any clearer to them without handing them the programs with a "How too" manual.
Also for the guy arguing over "hackers presense". The point of this letter is too attack the very things you stated, things that other players can do to essentially deny gameplay to other players. You may not care about duping, the in-game economy, or moral behind the subject, I do, but it isn't game-breaking too me. What's gamebreaking is the fact they can disconnect a single character to an entire server. That's what it's about.
If nexon was smart they'd just buy the hacks, use them proof in court, and sue for quadruple their money back. .
