Taking a risk with this.

Here’s the letter, here’s the choice:

Do you understand how many times this has been tried and ignored?
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Too wordy, Nexon doesn't read tickets. And there's an unnecessary amount of flattery and general politeness. Not to say that being rude would be any better, but unlike on a forum like this, when you're asking for resolution of an issue from a company like Nexon, acknowledging what they've done or tried to do in private isn't going to help.

The only thing that players can do to make them work hard to fix this is a straight up boycott, which will never happen. The other thing that will light a fire under them is if it starts affecting their income somehow (enough downtime will eventually do this)

Anyone who does decide to send in a ticket needs to be sure that their tickets don't include the following things though

Accusations
Assumptions
Demands
Threats

Humbly request that they fix it because it is affecting your gameplay experience negatively and then let it be. If you choose to boycott then do so, but saying it to them is unnecessary. Threatening to quit if they don't fix it isn't going to change anything.

Your "letter" is wrought with typos, and at some times, hard to understand. And as Eos was saying, why even bother trying anymore? You're simply going to be ignored. (until it affects Nexon's income noticeably.)

Because it's not me that's doing it alone, hopefully. Really I don't expect a result, but I'd be satisfied myself just to say I gave it a shot. Not to mention this isn't simply a small blow out with a half assed response. This has a line finally crossed in my opinion. I think some type of action is needed.

@sarah

Pretty much a straight up boycott now considering no one in our server can log on Rolleyes

I tried to make my letter more like feedback from the community. I don't recall making those things, unless as Justin says, has been* misinterpreted.

If you want my honest opinion, don't send this in as a ticket. Make it a forum post. It will at least get read by people and provided the success of the thread, they might actually notice something and Hime will at least pretend to care.

It's going to be more annoying than anything else for Nexon to have to waste their time seeing the same ticket over and over. If anything, get a bunch of maplers to write, in their own words, the concerns that you've listed.

Everyone sending the same letter isn't going to accomplish anything. I assumed you wrote guidelines.

Also, off topic but I always see you go "word*" and I don't think you realise that the asterisk is supposed to be indicative of a footnote. So you put the asterisk at the end of the word and then at the bottom of the post you would put

*explanation

And each footnote adds an asterisk**

**This is done because adding real footnotes to forum posts would be really time consuming.

Don't worry, it'll be in Broa soon enough so you won't be alone.

Hime is powerless and frankly posting it in a forum that consists nothing of 12 year olds asking for refunds from their scrolls failing would take the credibility out of it to be honest. I've considered it in the past, but throwing gold in the trash doesn't necessarily mean it'll be seen.

Although there is that perspective, there is also the perspective that they'll see the genuine concerns of the general community. That's also why I gave them the flexibility to add or edit the letter to their choosing.

OT: I believe it's the power of number's with at least a basic idea or list of concerns that will make a greater difference.

It's actually a habit to signal that I made a correction.

It'll just get locked there and likely result in a forum ban. They're not exactly open to criticism, regardless of accuracy/truth.
The ticket system is definitely worthless though because it could take months for them to even be read, there's no real impact of a 'mass' of tickets because it's near impossible to coordinate enough people to even be a statistical blip in Nexon's ticketing system.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

I remember people did a similar rally/ticket spam to have Nexon deal with Veng... not that Nexon ever did anything about it, haha. I don't remember if the Ewand rally on Southperry ever did any good (I thought it was futile) but it did get fixed eventually to the delight of many Arch Mages.

I definitely hope your attempt here works although I wonder if the GM will continue reading beyond the first paragraph. I agree with ShanghaiDizzy about posting it on Nexon's forum. It'll definitely get more attention and let's hope -Hime- doesn't lock the thread.

Veng eventually got banned/disbanned because of that. Also I rallied the email change thing, it took about a year but they finally issued the change. Maybe it was a coincidence, but I didn't do it alone.

I like what your trying to do KhainiWest. I'm going to log a few tickets on my accnts with a similiar msg.

It was only a ban of three days. The GMs said they weren't allowed to use Veng in their future guild names and any character creating a guild called "Vengeance" would have a 24 hour auto-ban. Vengeance -> ReVeng -> Gamble -> Excellent. A lot of good those tickets did, wouldn't you agree?

I swear there were a few who were perma banned. Though I could be wrong, I don't play scania and didn't look* much into it.

Lol, believe me that didn't stop anyone.

Submitting the names of Dupers with screenshots of items in MTS/Shop will help. I can say a few have been perma'ed from that at least.

I was thinking instead of getting a whole bunch of ppl to log tickets why don't spam FB/Twitter? With a really simply message: Please fix Maplestory (or something)
It would be highly visible and if even 1000 people did it within a 24 hour period it would have to get noticed.
