Vicious Hammer glitch/exploit?

Nexon: Ooops, we pineappleed our coding. BUT WAIT, our pineappleup is gaining a crap load of money. Lets delay as long as possible before fixing this.

The conspiracy theorists would argue Nexon knew for quite a while about the EW issues. Yet how many Bishops would have gached a lot of NX in order to get one if they fixed it straightaway?

That places far too much awareness on them, and I just don't buy it.

They've come back far too many times with "It's doing what?" and were absolutely shocked that players had found loopholes in their new features, new mobs, new w/e.

The GMs are not the developers and they're not the players. They don't really think in the same terms and they don't really seem to have much, if any, communication skills between departments.

Yea I agree. I like some aspects of MS but nexon's incompetence is almost too much to bear. There's so much imbalance in the game, but instead of using common sense and fixing it, they ignore it and continue to add more.

And I wish they would stop putting a fake smile on in every one of their updates/notices.

"HEY MAPLERS!!!! Aren't you glad its SUMMER? YAY!! Have fun with with these AWESOME events!!!! HAPPY MAPLING!!"

I would normally be in complete agreement with you, but considering that their employess are on these forums, as well as their own, I don't buy it that at some stage in the last year, they (whoever at Nexon) did not realise that Bishops were able to use EW wands.

Even if that's true, which we haven't seen much in the way of proof of, did the right person know?

GM's for example knowing does absolutely no good if it never makes it to the engineering department. They're the black hole from which information fails to enter or exit, and the GMs run interference for them.

Nexon isn't a hive mind - One of their people knowing something is broken does us, the players, no good, if it doesn't get acted on and get given to the right people, and even then it all gets prioritized according to some logic only they could hope to understand.

Lloyd Korn had said this is the only MS-related forum he browsed (to make sure that Paul no longer hosted extractions, I assume), though I don't know about anyone else.

That doesn't mean he bothers himself with any form of bug or glitches - He seems rather single focused. Even if he did by chance read about this, woudln't matter if he didn't bother to do something about it and that's just a mite too proactive.

I was pretty much agreeing with you; sorry for the misunderstanding. I meant to write that Korn is the only one I know of that visits, and that it'd be difficult to accurately claim that any other Nexon employee did so.

Considering the implementation of goggles, I'd say Korn isn't the only one that visits.

Actually that could've been due to feedback tickets.

I know I wasn't the only one.

Why would you tell them to make it a CS item first instead of just giving them the idea of having them drop from the boss... >.>

Because it was a ticket to Nexon and the only thing that motivates them is money? Duh?

When suggesting things to them you have to prove it has value.

Yeah, but then that begs the question why they took the middle ground and went for gach instead.

Exponentially more money.

Gach wasn't the middle ground - Gach was the extreme end of the money grubbing and exactly what I was trying to steer them away from.

Putting it directly in the CS meant you could spend 3$ and get exactly what you wanted and not lose stats wearing it.
Gach means you can put in 400$ and still not get what you want and even if you get it, you have to give up something useful to wear it.

Seriously. I'm tired of all these damn glitches and people exploiting them.

Most games are all about Glitches and Exploits.
If you can't keep up with it, then it's your own fault.
I haven't heard of this though... It's pretty clever :o

TFindlay Wrote:Yes, because we all know every f*cking person in MS can INSTANTLY get a +52 stat HTP with no effort and no cost whatsoever. Yes, MoN users are so f'ed.

You can buy it for like 1.5b easy, what's the big deal?

Yeah cause we can all run out and get 1.5 bill in mesos.

Games are not about glitches and exploits. Games and exploits are for Tools with ADD who can't even attempt to play nicely with others....

I'm sure most of you can, it's not as hard any more.. :\
And playing a game is a competition to be the best for a lot of people..
Glitches and Exploits help them be the best, although it might not seem right to some people.
