That's the Aqua Road d/c (jump then get hit and d/c).

I've had the rope issue as well - the character movement of the buffs shows, but the cast animation doesn't, and the effect doesn't show up.

That's the new thing they implemented to discourage priests from botting at Newts/Skeles. You can't cast buffs on the same rope more than a certain number of times. It'll be reset if you cast a buff off the rope. I don't think that using a different rope works, but I haven't tested it too thoroughly.

(It's effing annoying because casting HS off of ropes leaves you stunned long enough to get hit twice and waste pots. But if it prevents botting, I guess it's okay.)

I've only had this happen to me once.
I only use gen, ar and baha (and buffs of course) no doom or anything random, don't exactly remember what triggered it but all of a sudden my screen went black and I was back at the log in page saying I dced.

Iono. I was on my bishop in skele mini-dungeon for like 8 hours one day and 8 hours another day. I only d/c'd like twice. But that was because of lag and not anything else. lolol

Being that Taiketo made this thread largely because of me, I must post in it. So far every option opted in this business is also rather silly. Doom, Ultimate using, ropes, lie detectors (I DC on a relatively regular basis because of this sh'it and never once DC'd together with the person I'm splitting with) nor would it solely from killing mobs in speedy succession because 1) NL's are godawful mobmosters and I am one of them lord of nighttime tv and 2) I've had it happen in mobs and just a single lone Skelemonster alike.

Strangely enough it never happened during of before the 36hr 2x event to myself, and I spent a large amount of time training then which would be a pretty clear indicator it's not time related. It does seem to happen to the thieves of my bl a lot more than any other class though, but that's not very relevant because I'm rather reclusive and have had no social interaction with anyone except the Paladin and Shadower I split Skele's with since dungeons were released, 'cept the like ten people on my list of buddymachines.

Not that any of that helps anyone to understand what the fu'ck is going on, it just makes every other conspiracy theory look silly as well. Where's a Deepthroat when you need one

It's definitely not the ultimates. I've been training in the skele minidungeon for the past five levels (115-120) with just ice strike and I get disconnected all the time. Sometimes I'm attacking, sometimes I'm picking up drops, sometimes I'm afk. I haven't noticed any pattern. :f6:

This dc is happening to specific people quite often and others rarely. one of my jrs prays everytime she uses a family buff cause she dc's quite frequently. she is an i/l archmage same problem with one of her jrs and he is a bowmaster, while i have only had this happen 2x to me.

My jr has tested this on a laptop running vista on wireless and a pc using a wired connection and no matter what she does it happens. Its has happened standing afk while goin potty near the exit portal and while using tele and spamming ultimates. I train with her often and have not noticed any trend in her dc's as to location on map or skills in use at the time. We have used different channels too and same thing happens.

She does not experience lag at all either its just a random dc. Whatever causes this i hope they find a fix to it.

For me the background image gets garbled or it shows the platforms of the map but the background image itself turns black and I get sent to the login screen.

Login screen. I've had the error 5 dc twice since the patch, though. However, both times I was traveling, not training.

As Bucket said, I've never dced when he has or vice versa, so I don't believe it's the lie detector idea.

The only common occurrence that seems to link these dcs together is that they all happen at skele mini dungeon. :\

I get dced with meteor random mostly on 2x events, while on 2nd comp on same map still fine

Successful Dooms will kick you and anyone else in that map out of the game.

I am a 15x BM - this happens to me at Peak and only on the top platform.
Usually happens after mobbing all into a corner and spamming hurricane, or
heading back to middle and colliding with a skele.

it's not just at skeles o_O i've had it several times in magatia, ariant and el nath. a few times in aqua too, although that might be the actual aqua dc - its a bit more delayed than the typical aqua dc though.

So it's just the minidungeons added in that patch? What're the differences between those minidungeons and the ones we already had? (Besides the monsters and the layout of the map)

I hate this ^ at Jewties, it casts the first buff on my macro and I have to do a lap and a half around before I can attack or buff. Nevermind that I keep moving every few kills to loot and do a lap.

Also, about the DC'ing thing, my boyfriend's I/L seems to DC alot when using Bliz at Jewties with me [but I wouldnt' know about elsewhere since he's been trying to hit NL on another character], and another I/L in my guild DC's alot when trying to use family buffs.
But the F/P's have no problem, go figure. [Same with me but my internet's stable so meh.]

Are you in window mode?

I seem to be getting the "Error# 5, access denied" dc very often when I have my shop up in window mode...its getting very annoying.

never happened to me. Then again, i tend to move a decent amount in the skele dungeon.

I have DCed at newties after dooming a stationary one. Its happened to me and my friend.

O.o I had thought that this was a skill related dc cause I'm always the only one dcing inside. Seem like that's not the case

I've had this happen at Skeles and Newties. I first thought it was just my wireless internet acting up, but several guildmates and party members have had the same issues.

I've heard it could possibly be a successful Doom that causes everyone to disconnect in the same map on all channels. I tried it myself at Newties and it did indeed disconnect me so that could be the problem.

I don't think it's Doom because when I DC my training partner doesn't, and vice versa. We've never dced at the same time.
