Unleashed coming to GMS starting June 19th!

...but then again, they're already the same as mainstream mobs right now, just lower leveled, so I suppose the same thing that's stopped you from going there up til now will stop you from going there after this patch Rolleyes.

True, there isn't anything stopping me from using Crimsonwood the way it is now, but there also isn't any kind of incentive to go there, rather than somewhere else.
I'm hoping they'll throw in a nice quest-line to give me an excuse to pay it a visit once I hit 100 and advance to 4th job on a character.

Though I don't train at Aliens, when it first came out, I went through its quest-line since there was an invitation to its quest at lvl 90.
That being said, all I need is something like that for Crimsonwood, and I'll gladly add it to my list of places to go on all of my future characters~

Looks like we wouldn't be getting boss buffs since it wasn't mentioned in the highlights.

I wish crimson guardians would become party play mobs

Typhons as well with a fun map that you can get kbed down and have to clime back up like in the old days

In my opinion Masteria shouldn't make everything else obsolete. Maybe they can make Masteria "unique" somehow, like by making monsters there drop Nebulites or so, without turning it into an area where you can train super fast.

Trade in badges for level ~110 Crimsonwood weapons with epic potential. Put in scrolls + other pomegranate and there. Incentive to go train at that place for all of us dirty plebeians that cannot -or refuse to buy cubes etc. Maybe even include mastery books because I hate the mastery book system. Logic.

Make badges drop semi-commonly and make the weapons cost absurd amounts of badges. I rather collect 5000 semi-common badges than 50 badges that drops once a lifetime of mobs mass murdering if lucky.

Game psychology Nexon. Make the player feel like he's getting ~somewhere~.

Anyway. Can't wait to visit the new 150ish areas. I was getting tired of ToT. -_-;

ugh I know right, the one reason that nobody does the empress might quest is because the drops are so rare that it's just not worth it.

That and after 150, Empress Might itself means jack diddly.

You know, there's one thing I don't think we asked for...did we ever talked to Girasol about what's gonna happen to the EXP rates, whether if they're gonna change it to count the base exp or something? There was some commotion about that.

i never heard of exp changes...
and why would they do it? its not like high levels (when people actually use EXP buffs) are too easy or something

This was one of the worst changes KMS got with Unlimited, and people seem to have forgotten about it.
Exp bonuses, instead of multiplying, add instead. So for example, if there was a 2x event, you had a 2x card and HS, instead of 6x exp, you would get 1+1+1+.5=3.5x exp. For party play areas, the proportion exp lost with the change was even worse I believe.

Guess we'll know day 1 if they did it to us, because the exp no longer goes on one line. The reason it doesn't stack is that each bonus gets its own line, calculated from the base exp. So, the players will know and scream bloody murder until they change it back. (Unlike, say, PDR changes, which we won't be sure of until people do tests and stuff).

Oh yeah those days I had to remember.

Better not get that or it's gonna be too hard to us.

All of you talking about the PDR changes... I heard of it, but what does it change exactly?

Another change that KMS got that we haven't had yet is the change to damage visibility. This is the change where you can see your own damage numbers but not other characters' numbers on screen.

As much as this will clear up screen clutter, I am not looking forward to it.

it went from being additive (you could ignore all defense by getting 100% ignore) to being multiplicative (100% ignore is unattainable)

Coveral Wrote:All of you talking about the PDR changes... I heard of it, but what does it change exactly?

It makes different sources of Ignore DEF multiplicative, instead of additive.

So, for example, right now my Hero has:
50% from Combat Mastery
30% from Leafre Set
18% from neb on weapon
10% from Ambition
10% from Luminous link skill
which all adds up to 118% Ignore DEF, or way more than I need to hit full damage on everything (that doesn't have physical resistance Rolleyes)

After the change, if we get it, it goes like this:
50% of the monster's PDR taken off by Combat Mastery, leaving 50%
30% of the remaining 50% taken off by Leafre Set, leaving 35%
18% of the remaining 35% taken off by nebulite, leaving 28.7%
10% of the remaining 28.7% taken off by Ambition, leaving 25.83%
10% of the remaining 25.83% taken off by link skill, leaving 23.247%

So, from having an overabundance of Ignore Def, I will have to contend with my damage being cut by almost 10% by the likes of Zakum, and about 42% by CPB.
And Heros actually have it good, with that big 50% chunk of ignore def. Other classes, who under the old method collected 100% by multiple 15% lines and 5% character cards and such, lose even more.
In the new PDR system, you can't have 100% Ignore Def unless you get it all in one skill, like DrK's Sacrifice.

Needless to say, none of us want this change.

Thanks for the explanation. I understand it now.
And yeah, I agree. It's an awful change... I really hope we won't get this.

iirc i read a post by girasol that said we weren't "exactly" getting the changes to PDR that KMS got...someone was speculating that it might be a hardcap on PDR instead.

Another possible system is the purely additive one. Instead of Damage = 1-(Defense*(1-Max(DefIgnore,1))), it would be Damage = Min(1,1-(Defense+Defignore)).
In the purely additive system you hit full damage if your Defense Ignore is greater than the boss's defense ignore.

This would also be a bad system but w/e
