ITT: Epic Vidya Gaem Boss Fights.

Speaking of Resident Evil...

Resident Evil 4 has some really fun bosses (insanely fun game, period). I think the most fun was fighting Krauser. He's so awesome. Nothing in that game is really that hard (even in Pro mode), but it surely does have some epic battles.

All the different videos I've watched made it look so boring (especially 2nd and 3rd phase...). Maybe I am missing something? Regardless, I can't think of any worse way to end an epic trilogy. The final fight against Dark Samus should have been WAYYY better and much more focus on Dark Samus. It should have been several phases of fighting just Dark Samus itself... And its death should have been much better, too.

Maybe it was because I basicially beat the game on Hypermode over a span of 3 days, and was worn out by the time I got to the final boss. I think the fight sorta makes sense, that it goes to the Aurora Unit. Sorta shows that the organism is parasitic in nature and went to any lengths to keep itself alive.

Awww, that guy is cheap using the Chicago Typewriter. It's a lot more fun using a pistol and trying to dodge all his attacks.

Oh my god, I had to mute the first two videos. The supernerd commenting was driving me crazy. But I lol'd heartily at Dracula throwing his cup at him.



I haven't played TP in over a year, but those were some "omgwtp" moments. Oh yeah...speaking of which this right here is the best boss fight in Twilight Princess. Second is probably Zant's insane breakdown.

Golden Sun also had really hard boss fights if you weren't prepared. Star Magician is one of them. F'uck that guy.

God damn, the first time I got to Star Magician it lasted 3 hours. he just keeps summoning and summoning and summoning... You can't just leave them there cause they buff the pomegranate out of him until you can't deal damage to him any more. X_X

The summon battles like that though were always really good, but Dullahan's gotta take the cake. Formina Sage...

What's worse is when he uses that move that drains all your standby djinn.
Especially when it's like, the second or third turn.

When I did beat Dullahan, it was like, "Wait, so he's dead? Oooh, cool summon. Wait, it just took out more or less 2 heads of the doom dragon? Sweet..."

Donkey Kong Country 2's final boss. (not the secret, not-quite-as-fun final boss)

I always liked the ending to this boss, lol. (Although the guy in the video uses Dixie -- I always thought the final boss was too easy with her, since it makes avoiding his projectiles very easy. Some of the clouds he shoots off at the end makes you move weirdly, and are pretty difficult to avoid. Might have something to do with the fact that I used to play this loads with a friend, and I was always Diddy.)

I'm probably a bit biased since this happens to be one of my favorite games ever, but eh.

Also, since you brought up Sonic, who doesn't like Doomsday Zone?

Man, I spent so much time on Sonic 3 & Knuckles when I was younger. Music is amazing, too.

Personally, I love the final battle of Metal Gear Solid 4. I've never played any of the Metal Gear games, but the battles in the games are rather epic. This is only the intro of the battle.

This is one of those top-down shooters where your ship is made out of cardboard because one shot can kill you.

Looks like a game a friend of mine played that game during classes. I remember it because of the purple bullets and patterns.

I'll ask him if he knows what game that is. But yes, it's quite impressive.

That boss makes the Touhou series look like a cake walk, and those games are very difficult.

Another one from Gunstar Heroes. It's a short but sweet fight, and it's part of this little gauntlet of bosses you face near the end of the game.
