ITT: Epic Vidya Gaem Boss Fights.

I'm sure whatshisname could sift through YouTube and find a great video, but I'll just say it videoless for now:
Abyssion - Tales of Symphonia That's probably one of the most fun and epic boss battles ever made. Save a file right before fighting him and replay it over and over with friends. It's always interesting and exciting. Seriously. :O In some runs, no matter how good we got at it, Abyssion still defeated us sometimes. And for sheer epic factor, most of the bosses from 3D (and even some 2D ones) Legend of Zelda games. They're always so disappointingly easy, but they're always fun. Oh, and gosh dang. Since I never got a Wii, I've never got to play MP3. I've watched all the battles on YT, but that doesn't count. MP and MP2 have insanely fun bosses. MP3's final battle looks so lame, though... Is it really that pathetic?

Beats me. I just got around to playing MP3 last night. I don't know why, but when I got to this boss (It's only the second boss) I was like "HOLY SH'IT THIS IS AWESOME." Falling down a 16,000 meter shaft and shooting the crap out of a robotic dragon is bad ass.
Though, I do agree Abyssion is cool, but not free-fall-while-shooting-the-sh'it-out-of-Ridley cool.

Mainly because it is one of those really rare and awesome video game experiences. To me it seems kind of like playing through LoZ: Twilight Princess for the first time. I was having WAY too much with all the awesome, rarely seen things in that game. Like rafting through a dangerous ravine, flying a frickin' dragon-monster through said ravine and snowboarding down a snow valley on a piece of ice...after a giant yeti who is awesome. I had your same reaction to those events. Lol I lean much more towards long, intense boss battles rather than the cheap thrill type bosses. RPGs typically have the best bosses, especially compared to most adventure games. Dullahan - Golden Sun: The Lost Age is another boss I never got tired of fighting and still lost to sometimes. There's many different strategies to beat him. He's a lot of fun and can be very frustrating (which I love in a boss).

But I lol'd heartily at Dracula throwing his cup at him. FelixTM Wrote:That battle does look very crazy. Mainly because it is one of those really rare and awesome video game experiences. Oh yeah...speaking of which this right here is the best boss fight in Twilight Princess. Second is probably Zant's insane breakdown. Golden Sun also had really hard boss fights if you weren't prepared. Star Magician is one of them. F'uck that guy.

Stallos was probably one of the worst fights in LoZ:TP. I actually considered all the boos fights in Zelda quite boring.

Second is probably Zant's insane breakdown. Oh my...I forgot about that battle. That was crazy FUN. Very, very fast paced. Insane. I love that frickin' Spinner. It needs a game of its OWN. Seriously. Zant = biggest letdown of the entire game. He was so awesome until his boss battle. Terrible. It's always fun refighting bosses in different ways...but not when it's a previously wicked, merciless villain who turns into a drunk retard doing it... Zant deserved to be so much better. :/ ...Star Magician and his frickin' balls. I hate those balls. HATE. And what kind of magician summons evil balls anyway? Dhaos final battle - Tales of Phantasia (SNES) was insanely epic. He has a 3rd form in the other console versions of that game, but it's hardly worth mentioning and they aren't as good overall, anyway.

Bioshock's final boss.
Bored and don't know what you want to play? Pop this f(ucker in, turn the difficulty up to insanity, limit yourself to using specific weapons of choice, and have endless fun. This was a great boss fight. Seeing the Little Sisters stab the shi(t out of his mutated body serves as endless satisfaction. Probably my favorite boss fight since I got my 360 years ago. Cyadd Wrote:Stallos was probably one of the worst fights in LoZ:TP. I'm also ashamed to admit I've never played a Tales game before Symphonia. That was my gateway game that pulled me into the series and I never got around to playing the older ones. :[ Magus Wrote:Dullahan is a cheap pimento who can go die in a fire. Long boss fight is long. Probably too long for my liking. No I mean...damn that's a long fight. Greg Wrote:Bioshock's final boss. Dude...maybe I'm old, but I have no idea what's going on there. LOL.

Yunalesca from FFX anyone? D= She was soooo hard if you weren't like trained up. And having to stay in Zombie for 2/3rds of the fight while she slowly killed you with her counterattack and hellbiters sucked. >_> Took me like half an hour or more to beat her last time I tried. >_<

Battle against Dhaos (aka 'Sekundes') in Tales of Eternia. He's immune to physical attacks, good luck spamming any Sword Rain (Swarm) / Demon Hammer (Tiger Blade) family-techs on him. >_> . . . .
Guy's so pineappleing ridiculously hard on Hardcore/Unknown mode that you have to spam certain techs on him to push him back. He's immune or strong to ALL elements, except for Lightning, which, in this game, is only a 1% elemental advantage to him. <______<!!!!! In fact, this is why this certain player chose to repeatedly spam certain techs to keep him pushed back, because even summoning Summoning Spirits will do almost... crap damage! =D

yo don't even talk down own Bioshock. Everyone knows it got nominated/won a shi(tton of awards/GOTY/etc. The video quality isn't perfect. >

Maybe I am missing something? Regardless, I can't think of any worse way to end an epic trilogy. The final fight against Dark Samus should have been WAYYY better and much more focus on Dark Samus. It should have been several phases of fighting just Dark Samus itself... And its death should have been much better, too. |
